yesterday: Cook got a well deserved hundred, he got lucky in the beginning but he shook it off, and went on to make a hundred.
Sir Digs: He got out 'FOUR' times yesterday. After the first two lives, what would he have to do to make his century undeserving, get out another couple of times?
I think England are making a mistake here. They are clearly in the driver's seat and are controlling the game. Yet at the same time they've been pretty slow especially after lunch. Two maidens on the trot now.
Pakistan is clearly down and out. Now is the time to push on. The reality is, every minute that England spend out there and not score, is actually helping Pakistan.

Yes, I call it the 'declaration-math-syndrome." Captains start working on at what score they want to declare on, and remain fixated on declaration itself. More often than not, they would be in a better position by 'aggressively' working towards the declaration target, and in doing so, getting all out. It's better because they would have achieved their target but with more time to bowl the opposition out.
This is especially true for first innings, and not so much for second innings (third innings of hte match) because in the third innings, you also have to worry about runs/over+time ration you are giving to the opposition to win the match.
At this time, England are 440/4. They are better off playing like it was a Twenty20 match, and if in doing so, they get all out with only 110 more runs, that's better than declaring at 540/4 2 hours from now.
Good stumping by Akmal. I am glad to see that he's not showing any signs of damaged hand anymore. Collingwood is England's Dravid. He holds one end down allowing other batsmen to bat around him. It was very important to get him out, and while we won't have a huge advantage even if we bowl out long England tail in a short amount of time, we certainly will have carried the 'momentum' in our favor by doing so, bringing the team morale up in the process.
Danish Kaneria to Collingwood, OUT, GONE! Brilliant from Kaneria, and he fully deserves it too. Drags Collingwood down the wicket – I think he was done in the flight, and the drift that a legspinner gets – and Kamran Akmal stumped him with consummate ease. End of a very fine innings
Gerant Jones has a point to prove with England's other keeper trying to get a place in the team based on his recent batting form. I hope Jone's reinforced determination doesn't cost us too much today.
Inzi trying to let Jones take a single off hte last ball of the over, to keep him on strike. I have always been against this policy of 'leaking' runs and fixating on one batsman. You get wickets by building up pressure, and we should do so by focusing on both batsman equally, while stopping all runs we can stop.
Glad Collingwood didn't get his 200. However, which ever English batsmen wants to improve his test averages there is a great opprtunity for them to do so.
Even Jones with a SIX is joining in the run feast.
