sorry I don't get it.
wasn't Yousuf picked and Malik dropped because of their performances in the recent test series? why isn't the same criteria used to figure out if mullah Afraidi himself deserves a place in the team? we should be consistent, no?

what was Yousuf's performance in the Asia Cup? he wasn't in the team I think. so why is he back? oh because of his performance in the test match. so, what was Afraidi's performance in the match against Australia?

Yousuf apart, that is a pretty thin batting lineup for ODIs.
so they pick Malik for test matches where he hasn't done well and drop him for ODIs and T20s where he has done well?
and since we've forgiven the disciplinary indiscretions of certain players, Younis, Rana should be available for selection as well. if Yousuf is back, Younis should be as well. the same rules should apply to everyone. you can't forgive and forget Yousuf's shenanigans but continue to punish Younis.
I agree Yousuf shouldnt be in T20 squad, Malik should be in.
Yousuf will be useful in ODIs also, while Malik should have been in place pf Azhar Ali

I think this is probably the best ODI squad that could have selected with the exception of Mohammad Hafeez. I am also OK with no Younus Khan in ODIs, he hasnt really done much off late in ODIs. Glad to see end of Shoaib Malik. First time dropped from a tour squad. Enough parchi riding for him I say.

And dont worry about Yousuf in T20. He'll retire soon enough from that version. Like Younus Khan realized it he aint made for that version either.

Well 1st of all he wont be playing in the T20 even though he is selected ....its was just like PCB didnt wanted to announce two different teams for T20 just coz of one man .......
so it doesnt matter

^ Hence I disagree with those who say Younis Khan should not be in the one-day team (despite his recent performances). An average in the early 30s is not bad in ODIs
The openers are our biggest problem and we need stability at 1-down. YK is more likely to provide that than someone like Azhar Ali. Because our openers are so inconsistent, YK almost comes in as an opener
