Yusuf in T20s? are you kidding me? Pakistan has done pretty good in T20s.. why would you mess around with the batting line up in T20s? just cuz he is playing ODIs and Tests? doesnt make sense.
Also if you are going to accept 1 drama queen Yusuf back in.. why not the second drama queen Younis? Specially for the T20s and Tests?
I also don't agree with Akhtar's selection.. he was prettty average in the T20s.. got tonked around by Warner... it was obvious that he is not totally fit... in T20s maybe he could play but no way is he going to be able to bowl 10 overs in ODI and be effective.. the fast bowling unit already looks good with Asif Amir Gul and the new guy (riaz?) .. why mess around with it? specially with a character like Akhtar who is prone to cause interpersonal issues in the dressing room?
How much say does Afridi have in these selections?

Yousuf apart, that is a pretty thin batting lineup for ODIs.
so they pick Malik for test matches where he hasn't done well and drop him for ODIs and T20s where he has done well?
and since we've forgiven the disciplinary indiscretions of certain players, Younis, Rana should be available for selection as well. if Yousuf is back, Younis should be as well. the same rules should apply to everyone. you can't forgive and forget Yousuf's shenanigans but continue to punish Younis.

We are just wasting a test cricketer, Fawad Must given chance in Test rather then to T20 and ODI’s. He can be another Asim Kamal if they use him on No. 6 only.

Not including YK in Pakistan Test squad is a big stupid move but having him in ODI is an even bigger stupid move. Thank God he is not there. We need to move on and focus on having new talent for ODI’s and T20’s. No one is denying his utility as a test player. Lets hope Ejaz Butt is kicked out of PCB soon so that YK can get into the test squad before its too late. Read my post here about his ODI form and average.

It is amazing that Pakistan seems to be the only team where good test performance can get a player selected for T20 and vice versa. Young players are thrown directly into playing tests in difficult and unfamiliar conditions and are asked to bat up in the order. Whereas other teams first try out young players in T20 and ODIs before test matches and they almost always start lower in the batting order.

does Yousuf deserve a place in the team based on his recent ODI record? what has he done since the century he scored against India in Champions Trophy? and if I recall correctly Malik also scored a century and a bigger one in that same match.
does Younis deserve a place in the team based on his recent ODI record?
does Hafeez deserve a place in the team based on his recent ODI record?
does Butt deserve a place in the team based on his recent ODI record?
and if we go by the long term record, then Afraidi is THE most undeserving players Pakistan has ever had. he should be the first player to get dropped.
Afraidi's argument for Yousuf's recall is that we need to bat out 50 overs. after Yousuf, Malik is our best bet to bat for a longer period in ODIs. Malik's removal from the team makes no sense based on short term record or long term record. on a short term basis, some other players didn't deserve a spot in the team either. on the long term, Afraidi himself doesn't deserve a place in the team along with others like Younis, etc.

U just cant book ur place in every series by scoring 100 in India .....after every 6 months......
Malik's selection was based on his performance in the 4 tests he played and guess what he didnt even scored a fifty :D
So u cant select a guys who is out of form completely......and plus he is only handful in subcontinent
Everybody knows what Yousuf did in the 3rd Match .....he provided the stability to the middle order in both innings and v won the match
Younis aint even selected man.....he only deserves a place in TESTS
And please dont talk about long term here.....just talk about recent performaces ....Afridi is the highest scorer for Pak In ODI's in 2010......plus he can bowl too .....
