Re: Pak Squads for T/20 and ODI’s against NZ
You asked to compare Fawad with players coming on that number (batting order) from other countries, so I am giving you batting averages of all ODI players ever played (as Fawad played at every batting order, from opener to No 7). From here, you can see where Fawad stands compared to other ODI batsmen. From figures, it is obvious that, leave any particular batting order, Fawad is better batsman than most players from anywhere in the world, coming at any batting order. In history of ODI, only 15 players have average better than Fawad … of those 15, only 6 are playing today. So, forget any particular batting order, as the figures says, you could not find many players at any batting order in ODI, better than Fawad.
So think, when there are no Pakistan player who can bat better than Fawad, in whatever batting order, than how any other Pakistan batsman can get included in the team (be that Test or ODI) and Fawad left out?
