Two UAE-based TV channels have resolved a dispute that may have affected the upcoming cricket season in Pakistan.

TenSports and ARY agreed to withdraw litigation action against each other.

A statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board said its Chairman Shaharyar Khan “expressed his appreciation to the representatives” of both companies.

The PCB’s main interest in the issue was “to ensure high quality television coverage of the series especially for the people of Pakistan.”

A shared deal between the two companies that was struck in 2003 runs until 2008 and came at a cost of £24m.

Pakistan are scheduled to host Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka in a one-day triangular series beginning on Saturday.

They are also due to play Sri Lanka in a two-Test series starting on 20 October.
