Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.** I am no fan of SMQ, but what he said was clearly in the political context. His statement was that Pakistan's nukes are not safe under ' the Zardari govt'. That means that Zardari is doing his best to sell out the country bit by bit to the US.**

So this was all Sajjada Nasheen was in Ghotki to enlighten his Mureeds. Had he ever told them about this 'Khatra' before that. Ghaat ghaat ka pani piye hue Shah Sahb ko yeh Khatra mehsoos karte hue kuch ziada time nahin laga and that is only after he lost his Foreign Ministry and being sidelined by a bigger player Zardari.

What the hell, these politicians should limit their things to aaway and jaway and should not talk about sensitive topics likes Nukes.. when the whole world is saying that Pakistani Nuclear Program is not secure and there are chances that terrorists can takeover it and blah blah blah, the ex-Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi finds it necessary to confirm all those doubts!!! yeah ok go ahead malign AZ and NS all you want… but talk on these kind of issues in public.. don’t you have other zillion issues to talk about.. now look how this statement of SMQ is making rounds in India would be there in Western Media soon and that in these difficult times when Pakistani Check post is recently attacked by the NATO and Pakistan (assuming) trying to win back something from this…

That is dumb move. I know you want to antagonize zardari and all the power to you but have the sense to not cast doubt on the nukes. Western media has been having a fit for a while that pakistani nukes could fall into the wrong hands and now we have the former foreign minister, who was in a position to know, confirming it. Dumbass.

Do you really think that they are safe? Haven’t the Americans demonstrated in OBL operation that they can do anything within Pakistan, and our army has time and again shown to the world that they are sitting ducks. Their spies are roaming about in the country, and in most of the Corps Hq’s, I am pretty sure that they have their people in our security establishment as well.

There is a difference man. The army will not stand by if anyone tried to move on the nuclear facilities.

They would be safe under ANY govenment in Pakistan. Unless pakistan is destabalized by outside forces to such an extent that no institution, be it the govenment or the army, remains. They are a lifeline for pakistan.

nukes were always under military control........if i remember correctly...benazir was pissed off at not being allowed to visit........ so politicians can't really do anything....

nukes are safe or not but this just proves that SMQ is an @$$ who can go to any length to gain political mileage even if its at the cost of Pakistan's interests. I am happy that he is not our FM anymore.

SMQ has not credibility. he was part of Zia-ul-yucke, Muslim League, Peoples Party & now PTI, Mashallah what a achievement - PTI is becoming dry cleaning machine.

And for those blaming the army for being ‘sitting ducks’, please note that this is what comes with so-called democracy. The soldiers sitting at the borders are forced to take orders from politicians sitting in the parliament house, prime minister house and presidency. Currently, our soldiers have been clearly told to let the US-NATO forces do what they want to, and do not retaliate. This is what led to the Osama incident, and this is what led to this recent incident as well.

And to those who conveniently call SMQ a ‘siyasi yateem’, going from party to party, dont forget that PPP was his 3rd party, and before that, he had already been under Zia and Nawaz. So why did any PPPer never call him a lota back then? Why all the crap coming out now about how he has jumped ship again? PPP just cant swallow the fact that it is losing popularity, as well as some of its high profile members. Just look at Gilanis interview to CNN the other day. Looks like a complete schmuck.

That is more believable that SMQ wants to say that AZ can arrange sellout of nukes and are not safe but that is not the platform and those are the words to say it. Besides as others pointed, military has strong control of nukes. If wanted to include Kiyani in the allegations then he should say it openly and not use just Zardari as the sellout party.
