What the hell, these politicians should limit their things to aaway and jaway and should not talk about sensitive topics likes Nukes.. when the whole world is saying that Pakistani Nuclear Program is not secure and there are chances that terrorists can takeover it and blah blah blah, the ex-Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi finds it necessary to confirm all those doubts!!! yeah ok go ahead malign AZ and NS all you want… but talk on these kind of issues in public.. don’t you have other zillion issues to talk about.. now look how this statement of SMQ is making rounds in India would be there in Western Media soon and that in these difficult times when Pakistani Check post is recently attacked by the NATO and Pakistan (assuming) trying to win back something from this…

Do you really think that they are safe? Haven’t the Americans demonstrated in OBL operation that they can do anything within Pakistan, and our army has time and again shown to the world that they are sitting ducks. Their spies are roaming about in the country, and in most of the Corps Hq’s, I am pretty sure that they have their people in our security establishment as well.

I don't know, after enjoying ministry of 3 + years, SMQ suddenly find them unsafe under Zardari ( i remember SMQ once saying that they are safe and there is no threat to them but then we was minister) and how long will take to find out that if they are safe under IK or not..

To me this is amateur and should not be discussed in open gathering... and guess what he has promised details on the same on 25th December public meeting..

I can't believe that I am reading this. So, I think you would support a US "safe keeping" operation if it were to happen in the future.

PS This guy served under zardari, so what does it say about him serving under a traitor willingly? I know imran khan likes to throw allegations around (getting in the game) because this is what works for our jahil idiotic pakistanis, but people need to think as it isn't zardari that personally controls them. This is the reason I see no future for IK in a prosperous Pakistan, though a part of me wants him to get elected so we can get it out of our system that he can "fix" things by promoting the status quo. If all imran wanted was to get votes (SMQ is good for southern punjab), then he should have pleaded and begged musharraf to make a cabinet minister. If he is the status quo, then today is the best time to try it out as Pakistan is already in a gutter, so how bad can it get?

I know my suggestions don't hold any weight as no one will work on them ( I have given them in the other thread). I know that as long as American spies are in the country nothing in the country is safe. Period!

They will be safe under Imran, I don't know! But the current situation every one can see.

I dont know what SMQ wants to say...the Americans are in Pakistan, and they will try to neutralize the nukes whenever they get a chance.

exactly my thoughts! ... I was kinda shocked to hear this! coming from a sensible guy like SMQ! .. if he had concerns over nukes! how come he didnt raise the issue whn he was FM??

So you are in agreement with India and West that Pakistan's nuclear arsenal are not safe?

Just to let you know, this issue is about national security and more importantly, Zardari have limited or no say in it.... and this fact is known by everyone...

Now tell me if SMQ is lying now or was he lying when he said that Nuclear arsenal are safe under current govt not very long ago???

Ok yaar, SMQ is lying! The nukes as well as Pakistan are very safe under Zardari and the present army leadership.

OBL Operation, attacks on GHQ/Naval Base, Memo gate scandal, presence of American spies in sensitive military installations, countless (American) acts of breaching Pakistani sovereignty over the years are all fictitious (figment of imagination).

^^ Don't get angry ! Learn to force your leadership to speak with sanity and decency when it comes to national issues related to security...and also force them to not to use these kind of issues for political mileage... won't do any good to anyone

There are things one should not say out loud, including this. He has to be extra cautious since he held a very sensitive position in the present government for a long time.

yaar one should be realistic, the events that have unfolded during the past year I dont think the nukes are safe (safe from Americans that is)...thats all! you are entitled to your own opinion.

So based on this we should,

Dismantle over security apparatus?
We should give up to militants since they were able to breach in GHQ and NAVAL base?
We should stop buying weapons and other security equipments because in the presence of the same we were under attack?
We should just say that, ok, since Americans are raping us day in an out, let us give them some solid grounds to make a case against us on international forum as a token of gratitude?

Now based on above, when western countries and India says that Pakistani nukes can go in the hands of Taliban then are they wrong?
