Now that Ramadan is coming to an end, there will hopefully be new music releases on and after Eid. During Ramadan our pop singers have been experimenting with naats and hamds. Junaid Jamshed, Abrar–ul–Haq, Jawad Ahmed, Humera Arshad, Nadeem Jafri, Najam Shiraz and so many of them were seen on the tube reciting hymns, which is fine and dandy for a bit but then, it becomes too much of the same thing. Quite a few music releases are due already, perhaps the most anticipated being Fuzon’s second album that might be released some time after Eid. Fans of Noori are also waiting anxiously for their second release, which Gumby stated, would be released 'soon’ but it won’t be an Eid release. The dates have not been finalised yet. Faakhir’s new album is also due. Last we heard, it was being produced in India. Another highly anticipated release is Ali Azmat’s solo album and the video 'Deewana’ which has been directed by Jami. Viewers are also expecting a lot of music videos to be released right about now. Apart from Ali Azmat’s 'Deewana’, Ali Zafar’s 'Rangeen’ might, it is hoped hit the tube soon. Where has it gone? Why is it taking so long to release considering the album is well over a year old now. Ahsan and Amena finished shooting it before Ramadan. Dilly dally, dilly dally…will get us nowhere. Nizar Lalani’s new video, Khuda Se Baat Kar directed by Alf will be aired on Eid. We don’t know what it will be like, but we do love the name!
Imik, an up and coming singer is ready to release his debut album titled, Zamana Badley Gaa. The album is going to be an Eid release under Sadaf’s label. The album has 13 tracks including hit singles with Piya, Bhula Dey Yeh Gham and Akhiyan Milaley being the familiar ones. Known musicians like Faraz Anwar, Faisal Baig, Shahi and DJ Exordous have worked with Imik on the making of this album. Imik, a new addition on the music scene has already released a couple of videos for his songs Piya and Bhula Day Yeh Gham with Piya becoming his signature tune. The guitar strumming singer/songwriter has played many concerts and his videos have also been running on the tube all this year. Now that he’s relatively familiar, he is all prepared to launch an album which he dubs as a guitar pop venture. With the Jal/Jalpari fever now being over, a new entry is more than welcome!
can’t wait for fuzon’s album. But most importantly NOORI is coming back. Wow, you guys have no idea how much I missed them over the past 3 months. They literally haven’t done anything during this time. Good to see the music scene coming back again.
Kinda controversial so mullah crowd please keep away. WAS IT SO DIFFICULT FOR GEO PEOPLE TO PUT ATLEAST ONE MUSIC PROGRAM DURING RAMADAN. THERE WERE NO SONGS WHATSOEVER DURING RAMADAN IN GEO. KATAKAT HAS BEEN MISSING IN ACTION FOR ONE WHOLE MONTH. I HATE THIS. JUST BECAUSE IT’S RAMADAN DOESN’T MEAN WE ALL BECOME PERFECT MUSLIMS AND DON’T LISTEN TO MUSIC IN THIS MONTH. I HAVEN’T WATCHED A MUSIC VIDEO FOR A WHOLE MONTH NOW. I AM ADDICTED TO PAK MUSIC, IMAGINE A CRACK ADDICT BEING DEPRIVED OF WEED FOR ONE WHOLE MONTH. I don't wanna open up 10-15 threads on pak music on the same day like some in this forum do when talking about bollywood. It annoys the hell out of me when someone opens 10-15 bhindi-wood topics in succession and I am sure it will bother others when we open thread after thread regarding pak music scene.
