The media was by and large praising government, till it appeared that a deal is about to be finalized and then reports of it being sabotaged by President house, thats when media turned hostile towards government. On top of that praising the May 12 terrorrist has not done any good to government's image. Nobody is happy of what eventually happened, both Ghazi Bros and gov are responsible. The only ones happy is Aunty Shamim's son Altaf Hussain and his supporters.
untrue, talal hussein on aaj was hostile to govt most of the time, similarly the attitude of GEO and ARY, including specific quotes by their anchors are captured in the big thread about the siege.
maybe they wer epassive agressive until they found something to really bytch and moan about.
I guess all of ms. shamim's sons are happy now, one is getting his ass handed to him in prison i.e. ghazi#1, second son shot down, just one is hiding in London now, with the fouth son i.e. imran khan hot on his trail.
