After watching AAJ and GEO coverage of the events, there is no doubt that thier anchors and reporting tacitly support or are sympathic to the mullahtic loonie. Are they play this dangerous game because the mullahtic loonies are actively opposing the Mush administration (my enemy’s enemy is my friend) or they are ideologically close to the mullahtic loonies?
Pak media shouldn’t forgot the strict taleban rule in Afgi where media were chitroled left, right and center. If god forbid mullahtic loonies ascend to power, they’d publically whup the media personalities and these news anchors.
Pak media has never been freer in the history of Pakistan and they should be grateful for what they have. Ingrates are despised by everyone and mullahtic loonies will know exactly how to deal with Pak media.
They should be thankful that the government is doing its best to keep Pakistan from falling back into the Zia ul Haq era, where media had no freedom whatsoever. Honestly, with a stronger government in the future, these yahoos should be taken care of as well. What they lack now is backlash from the government and it will only take a chitrol every now and then to get them in order.

At the very least, the Lal Masjid kidnapped and later released police officers. Admittedly they were well treated and given chai, but they were taken there against their will and then not permitted to leave for a while.
Should this act alone have not required punitive action such as long imprisonment for the masjid’s leaders and for all students inside who tok part in the attack on the police to seize them?
