Is dish network still showing Pak/Ind series in the US? I called dish and they said they are not offering this series. I went to their website and you can see the ad but you can’t order it online either. I saw the ad during Pak/Eng Series but for some reason they stopped showing the ads during final two ODIs. What’s going on… Any news??

this is what it says on their site: "DISH Network is proud to announce that it has acquired the rights to all Pakistani home games in 2005 through 2008."

I do believe they are still showing it. I recently experienced a bad wave of their customer service, having all of my calls being picked up by people who seem to have a extreme hard time understanding plain English, or by totally clueless bunch of human beings. I called their service three (3) times today, and each time had to wait for approximately an hour to even manage to hear a voice from the other end of the spectrum. I am very disappointed and discouraged from their “customer service” area. They ought to improve it, especially the priority items such as call-wait times.
Anywho, yes, I think they are showing it. You can call them again to find out, as I did for my little problem, and got different answers every time I was connected to that garbage.
Edit: I managed to hop onto their webpage, and you are right, they haven’t included an option to purchase it direct from the website, at least not yet. Horrible, just horrible service.

Yes they are showing it. I am very particular about following cricket here in America, after I came here 3 years ago. So I always check in advance about every series and whoever is telecasting it in USA.
Dishnetwork has acquired the rigths of Pakistan homes games till 2008. This time the Pak India series is cheaper if you compare it with the past Pak/India series. In 2004 home series, the package was for $199 and in 2005, it was for $249. However this time it is $149, but they have named it early bird special deal. That means that whoever will order the series by Jan 14, they will get the entire package for $149. After that it will be more expensive.
Now you guys will ask me that how did I know that. The answer is that I ordered Pak/England series on Dish and they use to show Pakistan/India Add after every half an hour.

I do believe that they are showing it, however, with the proofs being given in the initial post in this thread, I wouldn't bet any money on any such text written on their website.

I can only tell that they will be showing it. I have got 3 years experience with Dish network. As far as customer service not knowing about it, belive me often they don't even know about the matches until the day of the match. So don't worry.

Yep, they are showing it. They constantly had the ad for Pakistan-India series during Pakistan-England games and they also have rights for Pakistan home games for a quite a while.

They were advertising during Pak-Eng series that order early bird before 14th Jan and get it for $149.99 but now since you can't order and if you call their customer line they know nothing about up coming cricket, I have a feeling they will change the price. Hope not.

In Canada we can watch it on FTA. (Free To Air) Legal and Free. No need for the card.

Just called Dish again, still no Pak/Ind package. He said to call back on the 10th or 11th. This is ridiculous. I'm so pissed, I definetly don't want to miss this series.

aray yar fikr not. They will be showing it. They don't offer any packages so early. There are still 8 days left in the series. So you can't order the series right now.

guys..... i just bought a new dish network..... i have a 'free to air' receiver..
will anyone tell me which channel will be showing the matches between pak and ind? as im new with the dish network...im not quite sure which channel to follow?..

i bought it from a friend of mine....who left canada and decided to settle in pakistan. So it cost me 250$ to get everything related to dish..

With all the happenings surrounding Dish Network "hype", I am just frustrated with their Customer Service. People sitting behind the counter are clueless. I usually don't purchase their packages (since it is far more efficient to get a TV tuner), but still, don't you think that they should be more "active" in this field, since alot of people buy cricket packages from them?
