Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

Re: Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

When it’s an article declaring who should, or shouldn’t, be allowed to have an opinion on the country, I think acknowledging that people who don’t care also exist in Pakistan is a critical point. **Admitting it would render his whole article baseless: if Pakistanis also ignore the plight of the country then he has no right to call out expats who ignore it.
**
Again, it’s easy to acknowledge people who want to do good but can’t. You just did, and it only takes one sentence. His article, because of its hyperbole, makes it seem as if there are people who care, and people who don’t, failing to mention people who can’t.

Re: Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

It’s funny because I know the author and because his f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶s̶ classmates used to call him Hanuman

And for this 09 guy, let me tell you a story. After only a few months in Canada, a guy finds out through his cousin that his dad had passed away. Why his own family kept it from him and why he couldn’t go back to attend his funeral? I will leave it to your imagination.

Re: Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

oh sh!t. This guy has nailed the thread. As for why, your mate in the article seems to think we don’t give a crap about family and prefer $$$. You’re showing the same level of IQ. Not surprising as picking on other peoples’ wives and one liners meri jaan are your only forte I am afraid. No offence ofcourse. <3

Show some class. Though I know it’s too much to ask. Other Mods may tolerate your crap but i find it as valuable as the dump in the trash.

Let me tell you a story. A guy went to Canada and was deported, now he’s back in Pakistan without telling his family why he came back. I will leave it to your imagination as to why.

I have no respect for people who insult other people’s mother and wives. Normally I ignore people like you but I made an exception. I’m sure you’ll show your class again to everyone, not that they need to see it.

Issko bhi ban kar do.

Re: Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

We should start a fund on GS with proceeds going towards charity, everytime you mention Mods we donate a dollar.

It’ll raise massive cash. Guarantee.

Re: Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

I didn’t mention mod…seeing things buddy?

Re: Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

I forgot. Ordinary members carry out bans.

Re: Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

None taken.

As for the guy who lost his father and couldn’t afford to attend his dad’s funeral, it killed me watching him cry day in day out for a month. Something like that can make the worst of us lend a shoulder to cry on.

Re: Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

I know it was a stupid statement from my side. And I apologised for my comments in the thread and personally to Cough Cough as well. And I can’'t do more than that, this is for anyone else too who decides to do the same thing and reply to me :hehe:. Straegly the author in the article seems to suggest something similarly stupid and noones really managed to notice that.

I do not know you personally nor pwner for that matter, hence I was mystified at the personal attack.

Re: Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

None of this is fault of every Pakistani and any average Pakistani.

Would you stop having allegiance to the country where you live now because someday you God forbid get in an accident by a drunk driver or someone mugged you (or any other bad act) when walking in a dark alley or a parking lot?

A simple yes or no would do first… followed by explanation.

Re: Overseas Pakistani Syndrome

I still do not see why the fuss?

You made a valid point to support those who have genuine reason to not be able to travel abroad. Fine. But the writer is not talking anything about those people.
Like I said the article does not seem it was meant to include everyone with every scenario..just focused on hypocrites.

Again: The article is not targeting every NRP.

If anyone is not a hypocrite, then that person should not take any offense to the article.

P.S.

(Not directed to you Ghost)

I do not know the writer. Just going by this blog.. He did not actually suggest he supports hypocrites who live in Pakistan, Tax Evaders etc… so why even bring that argument??

Why be so defensive or making such a big deal to lose the actual message??
