Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

I dont know if you guys are following the news from Pakistan if u have then u know what is happening in the cities of Pakistan in the name of protest against the cartoons printed in the Europe.

It is point of shame for us Pakistanis as far as what is happening here in Pakistan. I visited The Mall & other parts of Inner city of Lahore during strike & thanx to Allah that I am still alive after witnessing the direct firing of arms by authorities & troublemakers.

Instead of peaceful protest we are destroying the property of our fellow pakistanis in the name of protest. Instead of personal accoutability we destroy the public property purchased by the TAX money, destroy Levi’s or KFC in the name of islam.

How muslim are we when we destroy the motorcycle of a poor pakistani, who got loan and purchased a motorbike so that he can commute around with his wife & children, in the name of Islam?

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

The protests ended a long time ago…The Muslims who protested are now at rest knowing they got their message across…

These are just thugs who are destroying private property…They should be arrested asap…

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

And what is the event that make you beleive that earlier it was sane protestors and now thugs have overtaken.
Or is it just that, you are picking and chosing what makes you feel comfortable.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

Sane protestors threw rocks at the Danish embassy and threatened violence…

Thugs destroyed their own country’s property…

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

Lajo, did you just call Qazi Sahib a Thug? Abhi issi waqat Mafi mango.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

but how did you know which one was which? I see both as supid morons.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

Throwing rocks at a building over a cartoon is not sane.

The level of excuses has reached an absurd level.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

^n why is that?

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

yep...but this is what They always do.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

MyWish its not sane because you wouldn't want someone to set fire to your house just because you happen to be Pakistani and someone in Pakistan set fire to a church.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

:konfused: I must have read the meaning incorrectly in the dictionary.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

Sowwy Ahmad Jee, I do agree with you partially, and I am not sum1 who belives in curbing violence with further violence, and definitely those who destroyed other ppl'z property in Pk are real bozo's but I agree with Lajwab as well. Could you plz specify a more civilized way of protesting that would also get NOTICED? I am not trying to defend anyone here but once a crowd gets charged its haerd to control their emotions and anything can happen.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

Bunch of reatrds, how is destroying our own country going to harm the cartoonists or their nations?

Peacefuly boycotting Denamrk till it agrees with what we demand is the best option for us.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

Mywish, protests are always done to get noticed, for the same reason slanderous provocative material is published, so it gets noticed. Anyway, I wrote letters to newspapers in my area and got some very positive response. Some others took this issue as an excuse to go to school, colleges, libraries and do presentation on Islam and especially on the life of Holy Prophet (saw).

But if you really want to get noticed, try a hunger strike in front of the Danish Embassy. That way you are not disturbing the law and order, nor endangering anyone else’s life and most of all get the moral high ground which serves as a slap in the face of those who consider Muslims Barbaric & violent.

On the other hand you go with a mob mentality and force your way.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

*so qazi isnt a thug? *

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

Najim, its really sad that only couple of violent incident are reported and discussed all over the media and even on Gupshup. These incidents are really sad, but the media is playing a role in diverting the issue, and many are playing along. What many fail to see is the sheer magnitude of the protest. From villages to the largest urban areas of Pakistan. Millions upon million went on strike against this issue, Fiasalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot all those cities had strikes, without a single incident of violence.

Yes it should have more perfect, and yes there should have been no lose of life and destruction in Pakistan, but we do not live in a perfect world. We have such high expectations from our awam but little or no expectation from the state, and even now, I think the state would also just utilize the negative aspect of the whole thing, but would do nothing for the millions who protested peacefully.

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese

** yes it is, most educated people shift to the west for a comfortable, peaceful and civilized life so who is gonna teach us?**

Re: Our Stupid Nation - Pakistanese
