Oh and FWIW i did CIO a mix of ferber/weisbleth using Mindell's suggestions at 7 month and it took 3weeks for us....but it worked. My daughter still needs a bit of CIO/structure if we travel....and i never ever CIO when she's ill but she is a fantastic sleeper at 18 months now! She waves good night and kisses me once i put her down to bed and goes to sleep.
