Operation in Waziristan

First of all Shaz I do not watch Star Dramas so keep your assumptions to yourself , thank you !

Secondly just because millions are being sent to help these people don't think its reaching them .Pakistani government is very much capable of diverting those so called funds to private swiss bank accounts. Maybe your should open your eyes !

I find it highly ridiculous when people cannot pinpoint a particular enemy they start pointing fingers at innoccent civilians and pass judgements like "they brought it on themselves" !

As far as the army's involvement , hope they succeed in the operation with minimal civilian casualties !!

Re: Operation in Waziristan

According to Duniya TV army has taken control of several areas in south waziristan.

*Forces take control of Spinkai, Raghzai areas in South Waziristan
*

The security forces have taken control of Spinkai and Raghzai areas in South Waziristan and the troops are advancing from three directions, Dunya News Sunday reported. One security official was martyred and six others injured in resistance by the terrorists. The forces which are advancing from south are facing severe retaliation where one official was martyred and four injured in clashes with the militants. Gunship helicopters are also assisting the forces. The troops contingents are also advancing from Makin area where two officials got injured. The troops advancing from east to Jandula Fort, took control of Spinkai and Raghzai areas from where they are marching towards Kotkai. Majority of the people have migrated from the area however number of people are still trapped there. The people who migrated from the hard mountainous region trapped in Mir Ali due to curfew in Bannu. On the other hand, Pakistan’s High Commissioner in UK Wajid Shamsul Hasan said that 30,000 soldiers had reached to the South Waziristan to conduct the operation.

Pakistan Government is only capable of diverting US funds to their Swiss accounts etc.

The millions that were sent to pakistan, was sent through private Charities - who helped the poors. So your argument is wrong. No one sent the money to Zardari or his puppets. Money was sent through Charities and for your information it did reach the right people. Read some articles on the net.

More than enough people helped these refugees, i personally know few people who risked their own lives and helped more than 200 families. They went to camps and delivered food, water and money in cash to help those people.

Just read some articles on the net or check out news.

Where did i say "they brought it on themselves"? I said they are equally responsilbe for it. Please don't make things up. And just to make it clear the 'particular enemy' is these terrorist. Please don't come here and say now its' USA , Isreal or India. These retards exist in Pakistan and they might be recieveing 'forgein help' but first we need to finish them off, which we are doing now and then take care of 'outside help'. And beside outside help or particular enemy will vanish once these rats are finished off.

the list i gave you was not a complete list of this war, it just listed the misconceptions in your previous posts

the admiration for afghan talibs is misplaced by many pakistanis

american brutality is not to be mentioned on this site, see lusi's sticky

As expected, madressah students are there to help their brothers in arm.

DAWN.COM | Pakistan | Troops make steady gains in South Waziristan

The Taliban spokesman claimed that militants’ supporters from religious organisations and madressahs in Punjab, Sindh and the NWFP were in touch with them and were reaching the battle zone through different routes.

I have got you right, now if you can get any help from any learned person in your circle ( very difficult to find one i guess) then you will understand what i wrote there, but again this sentence is getting longer and keeping your IQ in view ( from the posts of yours), it is near to impossible for you comprehend this...

That does support my above views on your IQ level, doesn't it?

I have spmething special for you.

This is the right way

** GEO Pakistan**** SWA operation to target terrorists, Gen. Kayani’s letter to Mehsud tribes** Updated at: 1943 PST, Monday, October 19, 2009

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Chief Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani Monday clarified that the objective of the operation in South Waziristan is not to target peace and country loving people of Mehsud tribes, instead the aim is to eliminate Uzbek, local and foreign terrorists.

In a message addressed to Mehsud tribes, the COAS said he admits that the tribes in question including the Mehsud tribes are loyal to Pakistan. “The tribes have always served as Pakistani troops without remuneration,” he added.

He said the objective of the military operation in South Waziristan is to pull the Mehsud tribes form the clutches of terrorists elements and provide an opportunity to the Mehsud tribes to live in their area in peace.

Good thing that Gov’t took the precaution of canceling classes as it knew these animals would strike these targets.

Battle intensifies as Taliban retake Pakistani town - Yahoo! News

Staggering numbers on both sides.

“About 28,000 soldiers are battling an estimated 10,000 hard-core Taliban, including about 1,000 tough Uzbek fighters and some Arab al Qaeda members.”

How the hell do they ‘take a town back’ from the army, WITHIN ONES OWN COUNTRY? This is incomprehensible to me.

When the army captures the town, what do they do? Don’t they secure it and recruit locals to help them? Or do they just move on to the next town, thus letting the taleban just waltz back? What are the local people doing?

May be they should all be shown an old Clint Eastwood movie

bhai meray dont get too excited, its taliban claim, might just be propaganda.

Re: Operation in Waziristan

^^^ yep, these early reports are not reliable enough to know what is going on.

The government made an immediate link between the university attack and an offensive against the Taliban, with Interior Minister Rahman Malik saying "all roads are leading towards South Waziristan".
Fighting for control of the lawless area is a major test of the government's ability to tackle an increasingly brazen insurgency that has seen a string of attacks in various parts of the country.
The army had on Monday captured the small town of Kotkai, the birthplace of Pakistani Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud on the approach to an insurgent base in south Waziristan, but militants struck back yesterday to retake it, security officials said.

Re: Operation in Waziristan

^^ so apparently it is true....taliban have managed to re-take a town from the Army....damn

Strange! you are an Indian and asking such questions, May be this will help

Re: Operation in Waziristan

I think we need more than 30,000 troops.

Fighting a guerrilla war requires 10:1 ratio to be successful.

Since we are facing around 10,000 terrorists, we need around 100,000 troops.
