I will again repeat your post 81, which is out of line. You basically making false accusation on JJ, it is like he supports death penalty on the person who involved in blasphemy. That is my concern.
Condemning such act from Ulema is much needed action in such cases disregard of person involve in blasphemy.

I guess there is nothing wrong in fleeing the country to save his OWN life. By fleeing from the accusations made against him, he is trying to defy all that he was preaching. He believes like many other nutters that a person who is blasphemous should be put to death. But when it comes to his own life, double standards? Survival instinct is very primitive and strong. Do you think he would have stood up for some other person - Christians/Muslims who blasphemed? Probably not. He doesn't practice what he preaches
He should go and live in Saudi...not UK. We don't want his version of Islam in UK.
Educate the masses, and these problems won't happen. Feudals in all provinces of Pakistan, land mafias, etc have kept the poor and working classes ignorant, and hence they are illiterate, and can't even read the Quran's translation.
Allah did not send us the Quran to read in a language we don't understand, because it sounds nice to the ears, and somehow will magically make us wonderful. He wanted us to read it and understand it.
Islam started with the word "Read", not "Kill". Remember "Iqra".
Islam itself advocate protection of life, and law and order situation in Pakistan does not guarantee the life in such cases.

Also, if we accept that he flee for his life...then did the Sahaba not migrate to Ethiopia when the mad people wanted to prosecute them in Mecca and above all our own Prophet left Mecca for Medina.

The matter is more sensitive than put forward by you. Somebody's life is at stake and you are sayin that its upto our discretion. Sorry I disagree nobody should be deciding who should live and who should not ! I am with Junaid Jamshed and all those who want him to be punished are wrong..and that's a period!

Actually, the matter is more complex than put forward by you too, or perhaps you are willfully overlooking some aspects of it. I am against the concept of blasphemy so there is no reason why I would want any harm to be done to JJ. The reason I understand people are bitter with JJ are because JJ's case, to them, represents 'VIP culture' enjoyed by the supposedly religious people when it comes to religious matters. When you say somebody's life is at stake, people get confused as you are otherwise OK with the many lives that have already been taken, so, somehow giving an impression as if JJ's life is more important than the lives of all the others especially if they don't look religious, or are a minority.

Very true. I strongly oppose anyone threatening JJ but at the same time other people should not be killed for the same reason as mentioned here.
