Apology is irrelevant. Apology from whom? God? Pakistanis? If it is from God, then who are we to punish them when it’s between them and God? God is Raheem, and he supposedly loves his creature so he may well forgive them without waiting for an apology. If it is from us Pakistanis then how can we accept or reject apologies on behalf of God?

So whatever they said/did, did not warrant such brutal treatment. Cruelty, killing is not justified whatever the motive is.

Apology is not irrelevant but very decisive in such cases. Go to India and start swearing at a cow or say bad about their monkey god, the chances are that you will be mob lynched in minutes, go to the bible belt in USA and start saying bad about jesus outside a church, the chances are you will be knocked down flat within seconds…go to Philipines and say bad about Jesus, you will be crucified. Go to Azizabad in Pakistan and say bad about Altaf Hussein, within minutes u will be slaughtered. These are all realties and they do matter and are not irrelevant. Use your brain, analyze the situation and act accordingly with wisdom!
