Umar akmal is counter attacking, however he sometimes counter attacks himself to get out...:D
in any case, I do agree with you waleed....most of the batting line except Naser is very docile. Right now as an opener Naser can't attack since he has to negotiate the new ball as well.

Junaid, Aamir, Asif, Ajmal could have been a bigger danger to SA than our old bowling attack of Wasim, Waqar and Akhtar.
If Aamir and Asif would have been there we would have been thrashing SA ;)

SA commentators are saying that there is no way Pakistan can win a test in this series. They simply cannot bounce back from the 211 run defeat. I say its only a matter of a "break through" session or two in the innings for Pakistan. One when they again bowl against SA and second when they bat against them. Things CAN happen in favor of Pakistan.

I think what the SA commentators are saying is a lot of bullsi*. If there is any team that can bounce back from the abyss of failure, it is the Pakistani team. For all you know, Pakistan might win the series. That is a tall order, but a fond hope.
When England got defeated by India in the first test, commentators were saying the same things like England would get whitewashed. We all know what happened :)

No one is unplayable....even waqar's lethal yorkers were used against him to be turned into striker bullets flying over boundaries in every game he played and pakistan lost.
So no one is unplayable. Its all in the head. If Whatmore and Pakistani batsmen can think positive and play within themselves they can manage good innings scores of 300+...all you need is three batsmen sticking around and the rest of the batting line playing for 20s 30s around them...Those three can be Nasir at the top..Azhar and Misbah in the middle. I will throw in Younis for a cameo as well.
Finally quality umpiring. Pak. doesn't need a 12th player for the SA side.
