I think men are easier bosses than women may be not better. They are straightforward and don't experience PMS (usually). I've had both and I found it way easier to work with a man. The relationship was very predictable and he wasn't in my face. Now with the lady boss, we did other things together like discuss life and butterflies at lunch but for some reason I expected her to be more understanding given that she was a woman like me, but she was more judgemental and often let her emotions be her guide.
So what do you talk about with a man, eh? About him of course, how brilliant he is, what a phenominal thought process he has and that you could learn so much from him. If he's married and has kids, bring that up once in a while. Once you break the ice, it'll be a piece of cake.
