Why can’t people discuss these things before marriage? I don’t think you husband is been controlling it’s his religious obligation as a Muslim and your spouse to encourage you. You need to be upfront with your husband, either tell him you are going to wear it in certain amount of time (and stick to it) or tell him you are never going to wear it and deal with the fall-out.
I feel a bit sorry for the guy why couldn’t the guys parents marry him to someone who wears hijab happily.
