Re: Online Saga
You know, I dont post much , but I do come here to see if another part of the story has been posted :) I kinda like the suspense ,and I dont want it to end.
I dont care if it's true or not (even if it isnt , youve got some great imagination and good writing skills to keep so many people coming back for more).Dont stop writing.
Re: Online Saga
ur waheeda!
Re: Online Saga
Whatever I have written so far is all truth at least intentionally. If something is not true here that might be just because I could not recall it 100%. I am however trying to write nothing but the truth to the best of my recollection.
If I want I can really stretch it forever in order to write all the details but I am aware of the fact that it may become boring soap opera so I do fast forward it whenever possible.
To kill your curiosity of aminas, there is no suicide in the story ![]()
I am not a writer leave alone a fiction writer. It takes me 2-3 hours to write, edit and post one part. That is why I am slow in writing it.
At the end of the story I will probably reveal how am I related to the story. And can give the current status of each character if available.

Ali confirmed his identity and asked police officers how could he help them? One police officer told him that his wife Irrum had called the police and complained that he was harassing her. She also told them that he had threatened her and was making excessive phone calls to her even though she told him not to call her at all. Ali was a bit surprised, took a deep breath and invited police officers inside the house. He told them his version of the story that they seemed to believe more than what Irrum had told them. Ali said that they should get his and her phone records pulled and figure out who had called more. He also told them that Irrum was refusing to let him see his daughter. One officer was sympathetic to Ali and advised him to contact court immediately for child custody and not to do anything stupid. They made it clear to Ali that this call was nothing more than to register a complaint that she was going to use against him in the court. Waheeda was also at home and witnessed the whole scene.
Ali spent the night turning and tossing while thinking about his daughter. Next morning Ali was served with restraining orders by the court messenger. That was really very disturbing for Ali. Irrum had retained an attorney and filed a motion against Ali for restraining orders. The judge granted the restraining orders and set the court hearing date seven weeks later. Ali had not hired any attorney yet and he had previously responded to the divorce petition by himself mentioning that he did not want the divorce to happen. Ali immediately started contacting family law attorneys and was able to meet one on the same day even though it was Saturday. He did not retain him and wanted to meet more on Monday. He met three more attorneys on Monday and retained one who was well reputed and considered to be the best in town. Ali’s attorney quickly prepared an updated response to the divorce petition agreeing to follow the divorce. He also responded to the motion for restraining orders. He then filed another motion to have these restraining orders removed. His motion to have restraining orders lifted was deferred till the previously scheduled court date. Ali was really frustrated and felt totally helpless. He could not go within 400 yards of Irrum’s house, school or even Ayesha’s school.
Ali was very depressed and he actually was feeling real heartache. He could not concentrate at his work. Rohi could easily feel him being down while on the phone so she asked him what was wrong. He told her that he was going through a big court case and was drained by it. She did not ask for details and kept cheering him up as much as she could. Rohi was only able to talk to him from her college but chatted with him from her home as well. After few days when she found Ali being constantly in depression, she wished if she could see him and give him a hug. The idea clicked right on the aching nerve and Ali told her that he could make that possible. Rohi told him that as long as it was during the school timings, he could come meet her anytime. Ali booked his flight to San Diego for the Sunday evening so that he could have spent the night at the hotel and then met her early on Monday morning. He made to her college at 7:30 am as planned and she was already there waiting for him. What a beautiful girl she was! She did not drive and told Ali that she had to be dropped back at her college before 4:00 for her dad to pick her up. Ali wanted to go have breakfast but she was reluctant to go to any restaurant with him with the fear of being seen by someone from the family. Ali then ordered the breakfast to go from a nearby IHOP and took it to his hotel. He was eating while Rohi was looking at his face. She was so excited to see him. Ali himself was so very pleased to see her. He hugged her a lot and she felt it heavenly being in his arms. Ali however knew his limits and did not want to cross them under any circumstances. His limits were set up to hugs and kisses. Rohi was so very appreciative of Ali to help her stay within the limits. They skipped the lunch and Ali dropped her at her college at 3:45 pm.
Ten days into the hearing date, the court had scheduled Ali and Irrum to meet with family court services’ counselor whose purpose was to do evaluation of child custody and then make recommendation to the court. Irrum had requested to meet the counselor separately and got to see the counselor first. She stumbled while telling her reasons why she had asked for restraining orders against him. She only insisted that he was not a good father but could not support that with any solid reason. Then Ali met the counselor and presented his story. Ali was well prepared by his attorney for the meeting. He showed her the log of all the days he took care of Ayesha since August 2001. It appeared that Ayesha had spent more time with Ali than Irrum. Ali also mentioned all those times when Irrum was late to pick Ayesha up from school and daycare. She had dropped Ayesha at school late 17 times past six months. He also pointed out the time when Irrum went missing for two days. He highlighted all the faults that Irrum had. Ali started crying when he told her how miserable he had been while not been able to see his daughter during the last six weeks due to the restraining orders. He said that he was sure that his daughter must have been equally miserable for not been able to see her father. Ali talked about his mother-in-law being on his side and standing against her daughter. That was a surprise for the counselor. He then requested the counselor to interview his daughter to find if she was ever neglected, mistreated or abused by him. The counselor then asked him about his opinion towards granting Irrum visitation in case he was given the custody. He told the counselor that he was aware of the fact how important it was for a daughter to see her mother and for a mother to see her daughter so he would be in favor of her obtaining visitation. The counselor told him that Irrum had called CPA, Child Protective Agency and told them that he was an abusive father. But CPA had not found any indication or abuse when they visited Ayesha at her school. Neither did Ayesha mention any reservation towards her dad. The counselor wished him best of luck at his court date and he thanked her for the help in his matter.
A day before the court date, the counselor sent copies of her recommendation to both attorneys. Ali’s attorney had called Ali to his office for the preparation of the hearing. He gave Ali copy of the counselor’s recommendation. The recommendation was made to award Ali full-time custody of Ayesha and grant Irrum visitation on weekends only. This was such great news for Ali but he had to wait for the judge’s decision the next day. On the hearing day, Waheeda also went with Ali and stood by him in the courtroom. Roopa came with Irrum and they sat on the other side of courtroom. Due to some conflict in his schedule, Ali’s attorney did not make for this hearing and instead sent some other counsel to represent him. He had previously communicated this with Ali. When judge looked at the recommendation of family court services counselor, he got confused. This was a 180-degree turn to grant custody from having restraining orders. Irrum’s attorney told the judge that this was a mistake on counselor’s behalf as she intended to do otherwise. Judge tried to call the counselor but was unable to reach her. He then took both the attorneys to his chamber to reach an agreement.
