With this post of yours, i do sense the feeling of your aqaid being superior to others. This is what we need to refrain ourselves from. What Allah promised to preserve is Quran and Qur’an alone. Problem is we do not have one set of scholars. We have scholars from every different sect of Islam, each claiming to be right. Where is the sense of unity ?

That is the whole point … When it comes to following rule of state, we all need to follow it to save ourselves from becoming a joke to society. We need to be sending out a consistent message. The danger in allowing all sects to engage in their missionary activities all backed by the government will lead to people saying that government are sending out inconsistent messages.

It will turn the state into a secular one …

The basis for Shari’ah is that top scholars do come together, but the decisions for state need to be decided by ameer and when decided all follow it even if they had a different opinion.

Most of the aspects of Islam are shared by many sects … The way to move forward if for us to concentrate on those. I personally do not see open debate as something that will quell argumentation and fighting and Fassad, but to open the doors to debate (which actively encourages focus on differences rather than similarities) it will invite the Shaitan in to separate us further.

The unity as I stated before must stem from our support to leadership, regardless of them not sharing our opinions and secondly to focus on common ground and mutual benefit. Our own specific ways will automatically spread when and if we develop the necessary characters.
