It was not my intention to start with the differences. My intention was to find "ONE" Fundamental point we all can agree on and then start from there. Maybe I was not clear enough.

Salam,
the time which has come on muslim ummah is such that there is no tolerance for anyone else. Muslims killing muslims in the name of God. Each one declaring another as kafir. Everyone is trying to hold the steering wheel of the car and taking it to whichever place they like to. There is no one definite definition of Muslim. In the states where Muslims rule, the system has been so corrupt that people die but do not get justice. Muslims tend to respect muslims only by tongue, but in reality the very true respect of another being a Muslim is gone. We have something against everyone and claim our own self to be on the right path. Muslims go to their scholars and pass a fatwa and act upon it without asking them on what basis they have passed out this fatwa. They have given their deen to some scholars and believe everything they say to be true without thinking for themselves and without asking them of any reference of any sort.
What is the basic problem of muslim ummah when we have 1) best and perfect holy book, with everything preserved 2) the best and most exalted Prophet s.a.w 3) us being the best ummah 4) our deen being complete and our shariyat being the best and complete. What then is the problem?
A boy went to a grocery shop and asked the shopkeeper if he has sooji, sugar and oil .. the shopkeeper said he does have everything. The boy then asked ' why dont you make halwa then ? '
So, point is.. if we have everything.. why do we see muslim ummah being so low in terms of everything?
Muhammad pbuh himself said that jews were divided into 72 sects, my ummah will be divided into 73. Keep in mind that where the number could be true.. these numbers also imply that muslim's sects will be more than jews. Now, since Muhammad PBUH himself said that all 73 of them will be his ummah and said 72 being wrong , 1 being right. My whole point of bringing this up is to tell that no matter what the difference we all are afterall followers of Muhammad pbuh. And if someone says that s/he belongs to no sect, it would mean that s/he is not in muslim ummah.. since for a muslim he has to be in either one of the sect.
We all can agree on so manyyy beliefs of islam and be united under all the similarities instead of all the differences. But if this was this easy then the scholars of islam should have done something to bring peace and to unite the ummah instead of keep on spreading hatred. When ummah is so lost, when the scholars of this ummah is so lost and spreading hatred against eachother then there is no way out but for Allah to send a messenger amongst them who is just and gives His rulings based on the teachings he gets from Allah almighty on various issues where the ummah goes wrong.
When Allah says : "You shall hold fast to the rope of God, all of you, and do not be divided. Recall God's Blessings upon you..." Al imran verse 103. We should see how are we all suppose to hold fast the rop of God? Allah said not to be the ones who broke their deen into pieces. Allah also told us to recall the blessing of him when we were enemies of each other. What was the blessing? The blessing of prophethood, which comes amongst them and create peace and harmony for whomsoever believe in him and it is through HIM by which enemies became brothers.
It's like a kid crawling to the edge of a cliff. His mother will never stop but to always run towards him and bring him back everytime hes at that point. No matter how many times a kid goes to the edge, the mother will always run to him and bring him back. Never will the mother say.. im tired of it.. go and jump, i dont care. If this is the love of a mother.. imagine the love of Allah almighty for his creation.
There are many many news articles in pakistan, in bangladesh in which many of the renounced scholars of islam have said that muslim ummah is at the edge of a cliff. They too are waiting for a miracle to happen from Allah.
Yes, through prophet who is in complete accordance to Quran and ahadith is the one Muslim ummah awaits for. It will be through Him, that the muslim ummah who is enemy of eachother will become brothers. They will not become brothers just like that, but to accept him as the one sent by Allah. He will be the one who will judge amongst Muslim ummah things where they went wrong and it will be his final say which will count, provided that what he says does not contradict Quran and ahadith. Yes, it can very well contradict the way scholars have been taking some stuff.. and it will be HIS words which will hold true since he will be from Allah almighty. It will be through him and by accepting him that there will be brotherhood once again in Islam and with brotherhood will we see peace in the world.
Yes, we can try and create harmony ourselves but things have gotten out of hand way too much and now even if we bring the similarities between us and bring it forward in a hope of peace in the world, we will never be able to compromise on anything. If one says that they are the believers of Muhammad pbuh, the other will say no you're not even though they have no right to refute it etc..
