Re: One of those days…
And you came to that conclusion based on few lines she posted about being sad and crying over a broken string of a violin ?
There is no pattern here. She is strong in front of kids , that alone does not qualify her for professional help.
She got some good advice already.
In US doctors are required by insurance companies to ask all the patients to fill this questionnaire every six months . Look at this and tell me what do you think:

Re: One of those days...
urgh...don't feed the troll people.
Re: One of those days…
You can call me a troll or whatever. Denial is only natural.
I know mention of psychologist/psychiatrist makes Desi people offended, as if someone insulted. But it should be considered, and there is nothing shameful about suggesting or considering psychological help.
and Mirch.
These are the questions in that form. I think the lady needs to have a serious look at those questions.
and these things she mentioned in this very thread
and a quick search revealed this thread.

So, i only hope that the lady tries to seek professional help
Re: One of those days...
^quick search? ahan. lol
okay thanks for your comments, I'll look into it.
Re: One of those days...
when you think, "what am I doing with my life?" or "how am I going to figure out my future?"
Days when you see no way out....what's one supposed to do?
Asking yourself these questions is the first step...you're thinking about it. But when you say that there's no way out....is there REALLY TRULY no way out or do you just feel that way because you're down? Make a list of goals you want to accomplish. Understand that some of them will take longer than others. Break them down into more smaller, achievable steps. Talk to your husband about it. He can help you make a plan...while also keeping responsibiliites (such as the kids) in mind.
I think it's normal for everyone to feel that way at times. It's also good to reflect over your blessings....there are so many in the world that don't even have the most basic of things. I think one of the ways to make life meaningful is to help others......and there are so many ways to do that.
Re: One of those days…
Yes, pragmatist because “the lady” asked for your in-depth analysis.

Re: One of those days...
Hareem. You shouldn't play the Violin. Its a Jewish instrument. All the great violinists have been jews. Are you a jew? I hope not....
Be proud of your heritage. Get a tabla. Your kids can bang along with you. :D
Re: One of those days...
Hareem, u need a little tlc, most importantly from yourself.
take a break, being in an educator and then mother role all day with your kids probably means u have no time for yourself or limited down time.
sort out a baby sitter for an evening off a week, and it can be time with the husband away for diner or movie or with friends or solo jaunts to some old haunts and some new discoveries

I know, you said this before as well and I did take your advice and been searching for a baby sitter now. My sister and niece might come to UK in summer so that would be a lot of help but mean while hubby is looking for a contract in Middle-east or Central Asia...hopefully something will be sorted soon, at least I'll be able to hire a maid or something, everything is bloody so expensive in UK.
Re: One of those days…
nah…I’m too pretty to be a Jew.
You know, me and my kids are pretty good at banging tabla, it comes naturally to us.
Btw, I hear you have a bald head? ![]()
