Just like every profession - hate to admit that Medicine have some politics in it as well. Its sad but bitter reality as well. sometimes docs r helpless.
this was not the case whwre tehdoc was helpless, he was head of that entire dept, and the indfo we showed was part of standard protocol, he just chose to play god and decided that in his expert opinion my kids were not worth his time.
and if they are helpless they need to tell ppl, not give BS crap. honesty is still something that patients want from their doctors.

looks like I am not the only one
in my case I was told that my baby had a 50% chance of having a down syndrome. Turns out the symptoms and reports were interpreted wrong and the results were within the allowable limits, a more experienced doctor would have brushed them aside instead of putting us through this hell.

thats sad - can't comment as in not fully aware of the situation but if he was on a tv n giving n tellin about the same procedure that he refused to give it to ur wife ... thats sick then.
When I said helpless docs, I was pointing at Residents but then I am sayin based on what I have heard from frens but not experience myself regarding that. I will see how it goes once I hit clinicals in few months. You are right, honesty is indeed should n must be part of every profession.

yup, thats exactly what happened. u are a doc so u would know. my sons gestational sac had ruptured and was leaking amniotic fluid , had they done something as simple as amno infusion, given steroids for the kids lungs to develop and anti biotics to prevent infection from setting in . they could have bought time. they did not..this even when other experts in this field were sending msgs to this arse to do just that since my sis was there and she had reached out to her medical community for help.
I wish I had just airlifted her out to a diff city..

I did. still putting pieces together.
anyways..i dunn want to get into it.
its just that i see that work becomes business as usual for many docs and they either dont remember what their decisions could mean for people, or they simply have different priorities more to do with money than humans.
