One First Class Ticket

If you and spouse were traveling together, and the airlines offered you a first class ticket, would you leave your spouse back in economy for the duration of the flight?

offer him/her your seat?

decline and sit miserably in economy?

Would your answers vary if the flight time was longer than 5 hours or just a quic 1 hour flight?

What if it wasn’t your spouse, perhaps your best friend?

Re: One First Class Ticket

  • ONLY husband should give up the First class to wife ^_^ That is ONLY reasonable and fair. Be a gentleman.
  • If it was like 1-3 hour flight, I wouldn't care if I sit or my husband.
  • If it's bestfriend, i would be like "aww no you take it" (2 times) if they still insists that I should, I would say OKAY on 3rd ^_^

Re: One First Class Ticket

Economy or business, does not matter to me. I will prefer to sit next to him. I'm a chipkoo wife.

^:cb:

Well…he should offer it to me…and I know he will…and if it is a long flight i would actually share the time with him…so that he can sleep comfy.

if it is my best friend…we should still share na :snooty:

Re: One First Class Ticket

I'd rather be miserable for 5 hours and sit together, rather than sit alone and be comfortable.

Re: One First Class Ticket

send her off to first class.

both of us are less miserable now. <3

Re: One First Class Ticket

i will gladly let my SO sit in FIRST class or i'll pay the difference and be with her in the first class...

...i remember once i was traveling back from India to Toronto via Hong Kong and Los Angeles [over the Pacific] and i had a First Class Ticket that year. my sister came along with me and that was her first trip abroad. i happily gave my seat to her and i took her seat in the economy class. she had the time of her life and i felt so much happiness when i saw smile on her face at arrive in LA...i'll always give my seat to anyone who is an elderly and is traveling with me... :) it's the pleasure that you give to others is what counts to me...i seek pleasure in someone else' pleasure. alHamdolillah :)

Re: One First Class Ticket

this is so funny hahaa

well first class is all well and good but it can be quite boring on your own... whoever it is I would want to share with them probably

spouse - would expect him to give it to me. But not sure if I would take it (I think I'm a chipkoo honi-wali-biwi like hareem)

if it was best mate, I'd be diplomatic and say you take it for the first half and come over and let me enjoy for the second half :)

Re: One First Class Ticket

And thus reduce her first class experience to that of coach. How saalfish. :smack:

Re: One First Class Ticket

what? i said i’ll be with her in the first class…pay higher fare for her. ab Theek?

Re: One First Class Ticket

OP: Usually airline announces cheaper rate on the day of flight when you are about to check in or take boarding passes. If you pay 200 or few more bucks, they will fix your seat right next to you pati ji. :@: or may be given you seat in first class too, but again it is you who will change budget. In my opinion, it is good option, because airline is more interested in to fill those seats if first/business class never reserved by any other passenger.

At least, last time I heard this announcement from airline counter.

Re: One First Class Ticket

I would not go

Re: One First Class Ticket

Dotch in a heart beat if i had my babies with me and the flight was more than 5 hours.

Alone? Nah. I need my company. He may feel the need to move cuz his 5 mile long legs werent made for economy travelling

Re: One First Class Ticket

If it were my spouse, we’d take turns. So I’d sit for one half and he’d sit for the other half.

If it were my best friend, I’d do that same.

Re: One First Class Ticket

Someone say first class?

Re: One First Class Ticket

What's with all the clinging ladies? I would share the seat, and insist on going first. Then I would refuse to get off when it's her turn, and tell the flight attendants that a crazy lady is bothering me.

Re: One First Class Ticket

I guess I'm the only besharam biwi here...husbaaand who?!? First class baby!!

Re: One First Class Ticket

depends on who is sitting in the next seat there :x2:
