These ratings show that Pakisan is on the
third place at the ranking table, i pray it
goes to the top of it.
And two of our star bowlers i.e. Waseem Akram
and Saqlain Mushtaq are amongst the wicket
takers being in the top ten, sixth and
seventh, to be exact.
Long Live Pakistan

They are ahead of Srilanka and and behind Australia, thus making them 3rd best team in the world, soon after the world cup, they will gain back their spot as the best team in the world.

AQ, I quite agree with the ratings, South Africa should be ahead of Australia but real close, after winning the tri series in Australia, their one day record is quite impressive before they played the one day series at home against Australia which might hurt them a bid.
You don't have to worry for long after Pakistan thrash Newzeland and upset Australia and win the ICC Champions Trophy in Srilanka, we would be back on top.

This rating is just not determined only by wining matches, for example if Pakistan beats Bangladesh they recieve 2 pts or we beat Srilanka we get 2 pts.
These type of ratings are much different, it depends on what type of team are you playing or the location, so for example if pakistan beats australia in Pakistan, their pts will be much lower than if Pakistan beats Australai in Australia.

Its more to do with Australie's and Pakistan position.I was amazed how could Pakistan be ahead of Sri lanka. and SA ahead of AUS.
Thats why I wanted to know whats is thsi "Cricket magazine"...whats the name this magazine...or "Cricket Magazine" is the name itself.I never heard of that.
Where is it published?
Is there anyway we can see that article on net?
what is the logic of deciding the rating?
does anyone here knows?
There are 100s of rating in business these days.If you want I can come out with 10 other ratings which will be entirely different from thsi ratings.

You will never let go any opportunity to show Pak on the bottom. I know you’re pulling your hairs that how come this Magazine show Pak on 3rd so you bring in the SL to try to atleast bring Pak 1 more number down.
All you had to do was ask. “Cricketer” is one of the oldest magazines of cricket, and you can check this and all previous ratings, and their basis by clicking here www.cricketer.com
They carry the world-famous PricewaterhouseCoopers ratings (previously known as “Coopers and Lybrand” ratings).
