I’ve always dreamnt about it thoooo ![]()
NEVER!
I’ve had the most embarrassing experience with this song …
When we went to Pakistan many years ago, one day mom, nana abbu and I were sitting on the terrace, enjoying the sunshine and talking about random things when one of the neighbours started playing their deck in such a loud volume and guess what the song was… choli k piche kya hai!!! ![]()
Mom and I were sooooo embrrassed infront of nana abbu! Stupid, typical pakistani neighbour! And no nana abbu wasn’t embarrassed… he was ANGRY! And that made the whole situation even more uncomfortable… Thankfully, mom started talking about something else and we tried our best to ignore the music…
Guess what the next song was …
“Teri patli kamar mein hai jaadu…” arrghh ![]()
Re: On your wedding day would any of you walk in to the song of..
i think its ok...i danced to that song on my bro and bhabhi's mehndi...and my bhabhi (i.e. the dulhan) herself taught me how to dance to it... for me it holds great memories and it was a nice song
Re: On your wedding day would any of you walk in to the song of..
lolz that is sooo embarassing!! :D

Thought I'm pretty sure people would have frowned upon this..
I respect that it reminds you of good times but it is quite a vulgar song even for the indian society.. even though no one is saying exactly choli k piche kya hai but we all get the image formed in our heads, and thats what makes it sound vulgar infront of elders...
In fact, any romantic song at all made us feel uncomfortable when we were sitting among our elders ... and even now we would get the same kinda embarrassing feeling
Re: On your wedding day would any of you walk in to the song of..
lol may be we have an open minded family who doesnt take such thigns too seriously...or maybe nobody made a big deal of it cuz i was only 9 when i danced to it
Try dancing on it at this age :)
and this has nothing to do with being open minded
would u watch an emraan hashmi movie with ur family?
anyways. lets not get into this debate.
Now that u've told us that u were only 9, I think its ok for kids to dance on it... even when boys do a comedy dance on some really strange song, it actually looks really funny and everyone enjoys it, no one really cares about the lyrics then
Re: On your wedding day would any of you walk in to the song of..
if v cn appreciate american music without knowing/bothering the lyrics y ppl get embarasd at hindi ones though i don't like any ow thm but chill guys
^ what makes u think we are not “chilled”?
We’re just discussing the topic… ![]()
Re: On your wedding day would any of you walk in to the song of..
the next lines on that same song are choli mein dil hai mera chunri mein dil hai mera...the song itself is not vulgar the dance that madhuri did to it was promiscuous and i think...we always think of the worst things first...maybe we need to change the way we think
^ u cud say the same for indian people. So much fuss has been created over so many songs in bollywood that I wouldn't even have thought could fall into the controversional category, such as:
tan tana tan tan tan tara, chalti hai kya nau se baara..
ae, kya bolti tu... I heard that, the line "aati kya khandala" was vulgar in this one ??
The above was pointless controversy but how can we change the way we think when vulgarity is so obvious in certain things? I'm going to take the example of mallika sherawat... some people think of her as a goddess... and some think the complete opposite... do I need to explain why?
In her case, we obviously can't ignore the things she does and say "ok we need to change our gandi mentality and ignore the vulgar things she's doing and treat her like an angel..."
I guess it all depends on a person's morals
Re: On your wedding day would any of you walk in to the song of..
^^ lol by the way I am pakistani so i dunno why u said that line about the indian thing...
anyways I do think that a lot fo songs are highly suggestive and vulgar like for example zar zara touch me from the movie race...
but I seriously dont thikn choli k peeche is one of them,...there is nothing wrong with that song...we are only thinking it is vulgar because all of us have seen madhuri's dance and that dance was vulgar....so those visual scenes are stuck in our head... otherwise if u look at the lyrics...really nothing is wrong with it...she clearly says choli k peeche uska dil hai ...if she said choli k peeche kya hai haiye daiyya kaise batau or choli k peeche samaan hai ya something like that then yeah it wud be vulgar but as it stands i really do not think it is...however everyone has their own opinions
and i do not appreciate the following line "I guess it all depends on a person's morals"
with this line u r basically saying that just because i do not consider the song vulgar i maybe inferior to u morally? i hope you did not mean that... i really really hope you did not mean that

Oh come on llxxll, are u thinking I'm fighting with u??? lol I'm not even trying to, girl!
Why are u taking my comments so seriously? NOTHING was pointed towards u yaar!
I know you are pakistani so obviously i was making a general statement... u said "hamare logon ki soch gandi hai" so i was just saying that indian people kinda think the same as pakistanis do... i wasn't attacking u or anything!
why would I do that??
And yes it does depend on a person's level of modesty, doesn't it? Some of my friends just can't seem to understand why I wear a hijab coz "its just hair!" .. but these same friends of mine think the american girls are shameless for lying around topless on public beaches... but for those american girls "they're just b**bs.. what's the big deal"
See what I mean?
I wasn't trying to argue with u for not thinking of this song as vulgar..
Re: On your wedding day would any of you walk in to the song of..
lol ok thanks for clearing that up...i wasnt thinking ur fyting with mne either just that comment on morals made me a little upset...sowwy /hugs thanks for clearing my misunderstanding .,..i see what u meant by that now ;)

Re: On your wedding day would any of you walk in to the song of..
you can go for something nice and upbeat, but this particular songs has too many moans in it..not a good idea for an entrance song lol.
Re: On your wedding day would any of you walk in to the song of..
Oh and my dad has ALWAYS said to me i want 'choli ke peeche kya hai' at your wedding! So it jus reminds me of Abbuuuuuuuuuuu
