while we are discussing women all the time here… here is an observation.
why is it that prostitution… the most dispicable act performed by women exists mainly in non-muslim countries? in countries like india, hongkong etc… prostitution and other lowlife acts are on the rise. as a matter of fact you could get a hindu hooker in bombay for less than 5 dollars. same holds true for hongkong and other neighbor bhuddist countries.
come to the west side of the earth and here there are areas where prostitution is legalized. women sell their bodies for money like they do any other profession.
on the other hand… countries like Saudi, kuwait, Iran, Pakistan and other muslim countries… are no way near to the point where women have to sell their bodies to earn a living.
Why do hindus, bhuddists and christian/etheists produce a large supply of whores and hookers?
Is prostitution allowed in hinduism, bhuddism? I know that its not allowed in christianity. But most of the christians today are christians by name only.
sex by force is called rape.... completely different subject. but even thats on the rise in countries like US. every fourth girl gets RAPED here.....
now coming back to the topic.... have these religions failed to provide women with any sense of decency? that they consider selling their bodies as legal ways of earning money?

Ha! Ha! Mundayya is very good in discussing with ladies. All ladies will run away and accept defeat. I think it is because of Islam that he has developed such exceleent skills and manners of talking to ladies.
mundyaa, have you been to heera mandi or liberty chowk and the adjacent road in Lahore? Or some of the other suburban areas? I don't know of other cities, but hey, I think you need to get your facts straight first.
Someone should guide Mundya to the red light areas of mumbai also. Quite a sizeable number of the hookers there are muslims, and a lot of arabs can be seen going around.

roman, for a muslim woman to adopt prostitution is a giant leap. for a hindu, bhuddist and others its a walk in a park. in muslim countries whores and hookers are disowned by their families and live in ghettos to hide their filthy face from the society... in india for instance it could be ur next door neighbor. in russia their are school going girls selling their bodies.
and there is no such thing as a heera mandi today. its a figment of your imagination.... zia had fried the suckers and sent the rest back to their hindu land a long time ago. whores and hookers do not walk the streets of Pakistan after midnight..... like they do here in US or in the streets of bombay.
hindus, bhuddists and other religions have failed to give any morals to women whatsoever.

And what moral Islam has given to women. Four of them sleep together with one husband and watch him closely do it with the others one by one. Tell me what do the other three wives do when the husband is busy with the fourth.
Hinduism/Jainism/Budhism/Christianity/Jews all of them put together were no match for Islam when it comes to exploitation of women. Islam has turned body profession into a gratis act with no rights to women.
BTW how many Indians do you know who have got prostitute as their next door neighbour. And where do the whores of Pakistan live, got a separate colony for them.
What if they are into this profession out of compulsion but still love Allah and believe in Islam.

thanks for bringing it up dhir. u have hit the nail in the head. Islam promotes marriage. By marrying a woman, a man becomes solely reponsible for a womans needs. He is responsible to provide her with shelter food and all the other needs. Which inturn also promotes family system in comparison to whore and hooker producing hindus/bhuddist and other moraless faiths.
Islam is the answer to the plight that exists in hindus/christians and others.

Why do you think a man has to take responsibility of a woman, why can't muslim think it proper that a woman can live alone also, if need be. And, in any case, what is the need for provision of four marriages and easy divorce, which muslims all over are allowed to use at their will, as was the classic case of Ibn-Saud, undr discussion on a parallel thread. DOWN WITH THE RELIGION WHICH GIVES AUTHORITY TO DOWNSIZE WOMEN.

as for divorce rates go my friend US has a divorce rate of close to 60%. In Islam divorce is legalized but its the most hated concept of all and shouldnt be used unless absolutely necessary.
Now being a hindu what defense do u have as to why more and more hindu women chose to walk the streets to earn some money? Who takes care of their bastard children in the mean time... mother tereasa and others? one more female whore and hooker means one less family, two or three abandoned children. If its not a males job to provide for a woman then u should provide them means to earn a respectful wage and not let them rot in streets.

Be it something as trivially amusing as feeling the warm morning sun on one's face; something of the practical utility value of driving a car; being a part of the electoral process of their lovely country; having a say when it comes to chosing their life partner; having any decent recreational physical exercise, like maybe play a game to basketball; go out in a pair of loose and comfy cotton trousers without being addressed by the vilest of words; sing a song in public; be part of any sort of dramatics..

in bombay, we have the balls to call it prostitution, while in saudiya, they bring in their versions of islam to justify women being treated as sex objects. give the arab woman a choice, she'd rather be a free hooker in bombay than be a slave taking part in the vulgar orgies at the king's castle.
Ever heard of the indian child bride, Amina, barely 13-14, whom a lecherous 60 year old saudi sheikh married, but got caught by indian authorities while flying her to saudi?

I told you that there are a lot of muslim women into this profession in Bombay, which you chose to ignore. Do you know most of the red light areas in India are in muslim dominated localities, including the one in Delhi?

Its great and heartning to know that some people do take care of bastard children also irrespective of the consideration that they are from whores. And not stoned to death as you claim muslims do.

Means are there and the womenfolk are given equal opportunity to compete and a lot of them do get good jobs. If there are not enough jobs, pure economics and not religion has to do with it.

Umair, there is no point counter-questioning. If you can't reply, keep yourself busy somewhere else, reading quran or something. Or is it that your Quran does not say anything about it and hence you do not know the answer as I see that according to Mundyaa all things in life should be dealt with by religion.
What does someone’s religion got to do with his/her profession? Prostitution is the world’s oldest profession, and it should be legalized, as it in not in many countries. It was legal in Pakistan until 1974, but flourished more after it was illegalized. There are many whorehouses in every neighborhood in Lahore.
Karachi was a hub of prostitution until not too long ago for transitory sailors.
Queer is right in saying that the situation of women in countries like Afghanistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia is miserable.
I have often wondered about Pakistanis’ fascination about things related to sex? What is such a big deal about two consenting adults, one to satisfy his/her sexual frustration, and the other making a living?
