Watched it on weekend and I must say It is an awsome movie. I was impressed with how much Saif has improved as an actor.
Very well made movie and good adaptation of ‘Othello’ in a contemparary Indian context.

As fas as songs are concerned, after a long time an Indian movie had a thumri and it was awsome song.

I will recommend to everyone except for fan of movies made by Karan Johar, Shah Rukh khan types. You wont like it.

It's a very good movie, a very good adaptation of the shakesperean tragedy, but majority of the females/families wont enjoy watching it coz of the ultra explicit language. Just wanted to caution you guys if you are planning to watch it with your family.

Saif Ali Khan is very good, other than that its not worth watching, ending sucks.

excellent ...... well presented , fast. Saif ali khan acted really well. Vivek should stick with these kind of directors, after company this is the movie where he acted well. he is not for glossy cinema.

I hate the combination of these two and their movies suck big times, far away from truth, impractical and an absurdic combination of open eyed fantasy.

:slight_smile: Movies from RGV(Ram gopal verma) group and madhur bhandarkar are the best to taste the real world. Roshans are good for entertainment.

Dont even name Bhatts, i kick their butts:grumpy: along with Johars and Chopras and their damn ugly movies.

I second that. At times diaolgues are very explicit but they are funny too.

Well.... What a Movie. Some of you might have to read the subtitles. ek dum gujjar language use ki hai. The adaption of the original work is done real well. Direction is awesome and individual performances are just superb.
I always used to think that saif cannot act as an villager cuz he looks too royal for that. But i take back my words, he was the best actor of the movie and not for a moment i believed that he is the same guy from Dil Chahta hai or Kal ho na no.
There are no sets used, all original locations.
I was never disappointed for a minute.
and I kinda liked the dialogues and dilect, makes me nostalgic.

Now since u guys are talkin bout Omkara which I havent watched yet. Just wanted to know have u guys watched Maqbool by the same director with Irfan Khan playin Macbeth. The best part of the movie is when they actually say its adapted from Macbeth. Everything bout that movie was awesome and that movie shall remain my favourite for years to come. Amazing acting and direction and expect nothin less from such a great director in Omkara

the movie is worth watching…but the lang is tooo bold:blush:
