Barriers are there to be broken. Not to enclose people in a cage. Everyone wants their freedom. Men or women. Heck, even human beings fight for animal rights and freedom these days. Yes a dolphin looks pretty in a tank and we get amused seeing it's antics but at the end of the day, even a dolphin wants the barrier to be not there and be liberated. Similarly some people also want the barrier to be removed and the dolphin to be free.
Barriers are always there to be broken. There cannot be progress without that. Barriers in trade, barriers in social communication, barriers beyond borders, etc etc etc. Lot of barriers have been broken/crossed and lots more will be.
I fully understand that this thread was not directed at anyone but I just came in here to give my view of this slang term OMFG. Plus heck, it is not hurting anyone, read it, don't pay attention to it and move on. Your life ain't slowing down if someone uses this term.

You are obviously reading too much in to it. Plus OMFG is not an Islamic term and not created by a Muslim. A christian probably created it or we can obviously trace it’s roots back to the west, where it emerged from and became popular from. The word GOD in this term does not in any way refer to Allah SWT. Do not become over emotional and entertain your riled up anger for no reason in this thread.
There is no GOD but ALLAH. For Christians and other people of this world, the word GOD does not refer to ALLAH. It refers to Jesus Christ, or their other bhagwans/deities etc. They do not pay attention to the word god when they use OMFG. It is a spur of the moment kind of slang term only used when a person is highly infuriated in most circumstances. It might be so FCUKING wrong for you, because you are viewing it from the religious angle and reading too much in to it, but not so FCUKING wrong from the countless other peoples angle who do not give a **** about what it means and just use the term because they have a bad habit of doing so.

Do not compare that to the usage of this slang term. Totally different ideas. Masturbation is HARAM in Islam. No one forbid people to use the terms they like to use. Major sin vs Minor sin kind of thing, even if it is a sin to use the term OMFG.

Oh and that could be true for you since you are in Pakistan and you talk in urdu a lot. However I never translate OH MY GOD in my mind. Oh my god is just oh my god for me.
