Its really become fashion to deliver the mentioned word instead of OMG..

while ppl are saying OMFG what they actually mean? is it a nice word?

and when we say GOD, whom we are referring to?

I actually don’t like the phrase OMFG and just wanted to know what opinions others have..

Its mostly used as a word expressing some sort of shock or surprise. I really don't think that when people use the word they are actually referring to God in any sort of way

Ive never used omfg and wouldnt ever. as for omg, when i use it, i mean oh my gosh, not oh my god which is just blasphemous.

Life does not revolve around logic or reason. It is a crucial part of life, but in essence sometimes reflexes are more important and also sometimes a person should do what he/she wants without contemplating logic and reason behind every little thing that we do. Who has the time anyways these days. If logic and reason was everything, the world would not have a place for creativity. I applaud the inventor of OMFG for being absolutely creative and free spirited! Omfg all the way.

It is free spirited in the sense that it goes against the norms. It breaks barriers. It is an outlet for expressing anger, at least for me and countless other people like me who share the same beliefs and thoughts.

I never said it is a super cool word, in fact it is not even a word. It is a slang for a phrase.

Barriers are there to be broken. Not to enclose people in a cage. Everyone wants their freedom. Men or women. Heck, even human beings fight for animal rights and freedom these days. Yes a dolphin looks pretty in a tank and we get amused seeing it's antics but at the end of the day, even a dolphin wants the barrier to be not there and be liberated. Similarly some people also want the barrier to be removed and the dolphin to be free.

Barriers are always there to be broken. There cannot be progress without that. Barriers in trade, barriers in social communication, barriers beyond borders, etc etc etc. Lot of barriers have been broken/crossed and lots more will be.

I fully understand that this thread was not directed at anyone but I just came in here to give my view of this slang term OMFG. Plus heck, it is not hurting anyone, read it, don't pay attention to it and move on. Your life ain't slowing down if someone uses this term.
