Re: Olympics or Soft Porn
I don't think that anyone is saying there is only ONE way to look at the games.......we are simply saying that there is only ONE RIGHT WAY to look at them.

I didn't notice that. I didn't even notice Daniel Craig's naked behind coming out of the water in 007...I only knew when my Irish friend mentioned it.

Re: Olympics or Soft Porn
Diwana, if you are judging covering up, don’t you think the anatomy enhancing spandex shorts should be covered by loose shorts like in soccer or hockey ?
Re: Olympics or Soft Porn
Wow. Whoever can't stop thinking about sex while watching sports have other psychological issues to worry about. Not everybody gets off while watching the Olympics. There are people out there who actually enjoy the sports for what they are and nothing more.
totallly agree so keep side your dirty mind :P
Re: Olympics or Soft Porn
Dunno about male athletes, but there does seem to be a concerted effort to hypersexualize female Olympians. Modifications made to their uniforms aim to make them shorter and tighter wherever possible. Back in 2004, the President of FIFA suggested that women soccer players wear tighter uniforms to promote "a more female aesthetic, to let the women play in more feminine clothes like they do in volleyball." Take male runners for instance, their shorts end 3 inches or less above the knee, while female runners wear hot-pants that end around the groin. It's a marketing strategy, and sex sells. Is it any wonder, then, that men don't take women seriously, and women don't take themselves seriously enough.
I'm amused that 'Beach Volleyball' is even considered a sport. It's like a parody of regular volleyball. I'm sure FIVB will say that bikini bottoms help streamline performance. That's why the players have to 'readjust' them after each serve.
Re: Olympics or Soft Porn
^ Didn't you watch the Czech Republic v. USA during the quarter-final match for Beach Volleyball?
The Czech team were wearing a head-to-toe body suit. Not hot pants. They played amazingly well and looked super fit despite being covered. In fact, they looked even better than the Americans.
So they have a choice to dress whatever way they want.
Re: Olympics or Soft Porn
but this remains haraam after Ramadan too ![]()
Re: Olympics or Soft Porn
Did anybody see Egypt's women's synchronized swimming team in their skimpy bikinis ?
I was surprised. Arabs are more liberal than Indo-o-Pak Muslims, it seems.

Hain?
My post was exactly opposite. I did not judge or criticize covering up.
Merely showed that men cover themselves while women do not, despite the same sport.
Then I asked why? :)
Re: Olympics or Soft Porn
