Though I think Pakistan played good hockey throughout. They were unlucky when they lost to germans. One real bad match is enough to put you out. Too bad we panicked and lost when it mattered.
Pakistan scored most goals (26) in the tournament and conceded least number of goals (10). Sohail Abbas is the top scorer of the tournament with 11 goals. These are the signs that we were not as bad as fifth position suggests and future is not bleak at all. With some luck we could have ended in top four because we certainly are at par with those teams. Oltmans should be persisted with and given more time till the WC.

Let alone Gold, Pakistan didn't even get Bronze this time around. Shame, disgrace and total let down.
