So my parents want me to marry a 37 year old…and i am 22…i don’t know what to think they have already said yes and although i have talked to him we dont have a connection…
what are the consequences of marrying a way older guy?

imho, it is huge difference. normally 5 to 7 years difference is ok.

still i want advice...i mean if i say no its a no... he's a phd.(i'm only bachelors)..complete nerd(i hate studing)...anti social(i am too so its gonna be so boring)...we speak different languages(communication issues)... i'm talking about compatibility...ughh

WOW, that's a huge age gap. Have you sat down with your parents and talked about it? In my opinion, talk to your parents and try to convince them not to marry you off to a guy who is 15 years older than you. There should be some kind of compatibility.

15 years is way too much. Is there a reason why your parents are forcing this on you? You're only 22, you don't deserve to have your life ruined by marrying someone from a totally different generation. Stand up for yourself and let your parents know you don't agree to this marriage.

i havee that was my first concern...they say ke ajj kal parhay likhay larkay nahi miltay...he's way tooo parha likha ...he's street dumb :/

i have and i get to hear ke kon sa "hoor para aye ga asmaan se" and " shareef tou hain na"...and ye ke rishtay ALlah mian ke taraf sey atay hain...tou i donno what to say that...
how do i say no to this without like being ungrateful :S

Oh c'mon, parhe likhay doesnt mean he has to be 15 years older. I'm sure they can find a nice, decent, para likha guy who's not that much older than you.

You say to no to it by claiming your right in Islam to deny a rishta. Rishtay tu saaray hi Allah mian ke taraf se aatey hain you can't exactly accept them all can you? I think it's wrong for them to force the first 'parha likha' they come across on you, there isn't shortage of parhay likhay under 30 guys at all, don't know why your parents have that impression.
