hum tow sirf art kow sarahnay waloon main say hain. There was a time I used to paint too but then left...guess Zobia and HHL are the right people to talk about Monnet and Degas and all that you are interested in.

Btw, have you seen Modigliani? I just watched that and found it to be pretty interesting.

^ you think so? Any specific reason? people say they found traces of Van Goh in his art... perhaps inadvertantly, he was influenced by his works.

the hideous frontal nude ,. screams ugliness and picasso also showed vulgarity and ugliness in his women/ prost... also the angular harsh backgrounds .. nothing soft about that ..

yes meri jaan… i dont have a problem with it being nude.. but before picasso nue paintings were a symbol of seductive sentuality filled with soft curves and rendered brush strokes.. but this was picasso who painted women with harsh edges , in LesDemoiselles that to me was a sign of his frustration and fear with women
