So here I am, trying to give my husband a few movies to watch on his iPad during his trip out of town over the weekend. So you’d think Apple would make it easy for their valued customers who pay an arm and almost both their legs for the fancy device, eh?
Sheesh people!
“This iPad has been synced with THAT iTunes so this media can’t be uploaded on THIS PC and bla blah blahhh.” OMG just OMG. How do you function like this people? It’s like having a nagging wife who wants to know where you’re at 24/7 and doesn’t even let you buy a burger with your own money!
And then you have my smooth baby Nexus 7. You dropbox the media. Drag and drop and play. Simple.
It's reality Khatti. You don't realize how pathetically irritating it is until you've tried other systems. That's why most Apple users have no idea what freedom is until they taste it...which they resist doing because of the "community" status they like to belong to (most of them, that is.)
so true…I haven’t uploaded any new music to my iPod nano for the same reason…coz I have pics which I dnt want to lose in this one…and my old lap-top with THAT itunes is done!

Amen to that!
I'd just say one needs to give an honest chance to a different tech before making up one's mind about it. Unfortunately, most Apple end-users I know make their decisions on outward, visible, more apparent features of devices and technologies. Usually, the first line of reasoning is "ease of use" whereas "usefulness" takes somewhat of a backseat. I know I'm generalizing but that's what I've seen in my many years of experience researching consumer technologies. I'm also not trivializing "ease of use" by any means, heck... usability research is kinda my bread & butter, but there's much more to technology. In the end, I guess, to each his/her own.
I have dragged and dropped on a 4s. A few films for someone I know. It was easy. And the phone wasn't jailbroke either.
It worked fine.
However I don't think Joe blogs would have been able to do the same.they would have tried douchy iTunes first.

LOL, it does seem that way sometimes but Apple fans are welcome to come toot their horns too and start multiple threads narrating their awesomeness as well. It’s a free society
