Re: Ogling
Simply, Excellent point :k:
Sheer double standards.
Re: Ogling
I consider any man who thinks that a bare or logically bare chest gives them the right to ogle at it, morally bankrupt.
Re: Ogling
i agree with ahmadjee here
ogling is FUN..... I am human if Allah miyah has made something beautiful i do look and hey i am hijabi girl :D. I also got no problem saying "he's hot"
so luxuryitem you are right... hijabans do that as well...
The point here is i am only looking thats it.....I don't even do scanning ... only if its will smith, tom, shahrukh, aftab [he is so cute] and hritik then i have no choice.
Its common sense if you show your cleavage and show some skin dont expect dogs not to look. I dont think it has anything to do with culture.
ahmadjee you are right i sometimes go out with my co-workers and the type of comments they make TOBA on top of it they are married with kids. They would even stare at a little girl who is only 13. I believe they have all passed the mid ages... Per my supervisor "just cause you are on a diet that does'nt mean you cant look at the menu".
Those girls who say that statement are not attractive probably. our Kalo, paki, hispanos are known to make comments.
I havent seen chinese dude staring... ONLY those who are in corporate america and under peer pressure do stare. They like to stick with their own community of flat butts.
Re: Ogling
Nia thats so nasty about the 13 yr olds..
When i was 11, I wud get stared at and harrassed and touched (in pak), even while wearin salwar kameez.. ![]()
Re: Ogling

Re: Ogling

every other girl has been sexually harrased or touched by a male. - hugz… its sad and pathetic…
I can guarantee you when you start talking to someone about this you will hear horrifiying stories. I do talk to a lot of girls about these thigns and i am surprise i atleat hear 2 stories in their entire life time.. This girl i know really well form india she was raped every night by her chacha for 3 yrs… this started when she was 5.
luxury… apun sach bolta hai *grin
Re: Ogling
Are you guy or girl nia?
Re: Ogling
Actually it’s pretty simple, it all comes down to competition. Most desi girls (ABCD’s and FOBS) only get looked at for all the wrong reasons ![]()
Re: Ogling
when girls ogle, they ogle worse than men....
and the level of "be-hayaai" in their eyes is what men can never reach when girls go about with lustous stares at men....
Re: Ogling
But you love it, don’t ya… ![]()
Re: Ogling
I meant covered with chadar, not just regular clothing (shirt/qameez or 2-inch dupatta).
Re: Ogling
With all due respect armughal, that is highly subjective of you. Sure there are plenty of women out there who will look at men w/ lust, just like men look at women, but to say that they are at a higher level of “beyhayai” is wrong. You could never compare the two b/c you aren’t a woman, and will never assess how it feels when someone looks at you with piercing eyes (modestly dressed of course). Just b/c she’s a woman, you can’t say she’s “more” beyhaya.
You wanna know what the highest level of behayai is when someone is ogling at someone?
It’s when they are staring you down and touching their crotch at the same time. Have you ever had a female do that or seen a female do that? I highly doubt it. Again it can happen, but the incidence of that happening is FAR less than a guy staring a girl down and maybe even touching himself. I’ve had that happen to me and it is beyond sickening. Indescribable. He was a Pakistani, probably muslim.
Re: Ogling
I would have not mentioned it if the person was not properly covered. Even when you are wearing a chaddar, they try their best to peak in. ![]()
Re: Ogling
*OUCH
I am a tomboy girl
… makes any sense? In other words i am not nazuk si larki i am someone who doesnt slap simply punch…
Re: Ogling
**I totally agree with you Sehar, it happens and I have never heard or seen a woman doing such an act…
When it comes to ‘Bayhayee’ I feel that Karachi is divided in to two extremes.
When I visit Karachi and go out, I find women walking on the streets half naked without a duppatta wearing cropped trousers or really short sleeveless tops with low, i mean really low necks???
I don’t understand it ???
And these women have no right to complain about being ogled. They themselves are inviting men to look at them, and I have seen many men getting in to trouble by looking at them. Why do they dress up like this in the first place, if they are not prepared for the obvious response they will get. Just because they have changed to a western lifestyle doesn’t necessarily mean that entire nation has been modernised to the western styles of living.
Are they living in a fake world, who are they fooling, why do we have this ‘Bayhayee’?

Re: Ogling
I repeat; woman’s choice of clothing doesn’t give any man the right to ogle. If they are such pious Muslims, they shouldn’t be looking at them in the first place to figure out of they are properly covered or not. Those men who justify such ogling would also justify raping of a prostitute or any other woman in a dark ally saying it’s all her fault because she shouldn’t have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. And with the same reason would justify honor killings. It is a flawed logic.
Re: Ogling
Women who dress for attention will get it whether they like it or not. They have no discretion to decide whose attention they want and whose they don't, it just happens. So if it's such a bother then change the way you dress OR pretend it's a perfect world and trust everybody to lower their gaze. Of course I am not advocating ogling according to dressing style, but it's not a perfect world.
Re: Ogling
Well said ahmadjee. What’s more disturbing though is that in places like Pakistan, a lot of girls DO wear a massive chaddar and try and cover themselves up properly. They get obscenely stared at anyway. I am not talking about girls in jeans and tight kameezes here. Plenty of people DO dress properly in Karachi, twice in two years I’ve been there and a lot of women on the streets had a massive dupatta as well as a chaddar wrapped around them. I’m not talking about Clifton/Defence, I’m talking about the rest of Karachi. They are still getting gawked at. No, you couldn’t see their chest or any skin or anything like that. Khair, I guess they deserve it. ![]()
Re: Ogling
Who said that the oglers are pious Muslims? They are equally “unpious” as the women who wear “inviting” clothing. There is no justification of “ogling”, neither can justify ogling nor can one justify “complains” of ogling if not covering properly.
