Official thread for chicas

Men plz enter here on ur own risk and ur most welcome to comment or answer any of ma Qs

And Aahmed sorry but another thread of females

Alrite so I am having a terrible day and I m sick of our aunt visiting us every month. The pain starts like a week before our pms. Does it happen to all of u chicks out there? Not only my back hurts but also ma legs start to hurt too. I m so sick of taking medicines, they don’t even have any effect on me anymore, I have to take at least 4 tablets to let it continue my work (and yes I have talked to ma physician about it, who has got me off my meds, coz I was getting dependent on um by overdosing) .
Anyway ma first Q is I have heard these pain stops after marriage or after having sex, is that true?

Another Q, well after the birth of a child females goes through chilla (meaning a gal gets period for a month or sumthing like that), ummm does that hurt too, and how do u guys handle that. I mean don’t u gals feel grossed out. Its so hard to live it for a week, how do u married women handle it for a month.

Alrite last Q, umm does any of u gals out there use tampons? does it work (absorb) on the first two days of the cycle properly?

Re: Official thread for chicas

Music, tampons do work. I remember my mother didn't want me to use them before marriage however, but i did a couple times for swimming only. About menstrual pain, I used to have the same pain you describe in my teens. But when I started the pill when i got married my cycles got shorter, painless, regular and easy. Sex didn't have anything to do with it so I attribute it to the birth control pill. After you have a baby, yes the lining sheds for about 4-6 weeks. The only pain you have during this period is when your uterus contracts back to its original size -especially as you breastfeed. This is because nursing releases hormones that contribute to the shrinking of the uterus.

The recovery time after having a baby is more than a month and there may be several issues that you deal with. So this 'chilla' will probably be the least of your worries. (sore cracked nipples, episiotomy, swollen feet & legs, hemorroids, lack of sleep, ravenous apetite and thirst, colicky baby, etc...I'm scaring you.)

But don't stress out too much about it yet. You just deal with things as they come. I hope I helped.

Re: Official thread for chicas

dayum MM.....you get that much pain? yar i sometimes hurt but only on the first day at the max for like an hour but its lessened if i just take some rest.
lay off the caffeine and sugary stuff cuz that can aggravate it. my mom used to give me warm milk to ease the pain. maybe you just need to strengthen your body.....

Re: Official thread for chicas

saima: U did kinda scared me by giving me all of that information after birth :(. um thanx ur posts helped me a lot and answers all of ma q, but the thing is i m not in ma teens :bummer: were ur cycles regular before marriage?

Shweetz: i cant even tell u how severe ma pains are which makes me even more crankier. Sometimes i cant even walk, yea ur rite i take in a lot caffeine, maybe i need to get off that. I dont drink anything on the first two days during that time, it actually causes me more pain and much heavier periods.

Re: Official thread for chicas

What does that have to do with your aunt??? :aq: :konfused:

Re: Official thread for chicas

^^ LMAO

are u a gal??? aunt as in ma pms

Re: Official thread for chicas

^^^ OHHHHHHHH!! But why call it aunt? why not a B********tch?

Re: Official thread for chicas

Haha,…as in your ‘monthly visitor’ or “aunties visiting”. Music, ok you’re not a teen. Then in your twenties? My cycles have always been pretty predictable and regular. But pain naturally lessened as I got to my twenties. However the pill shortened my period to just 3 days. It used to be 5-6 days before that.

Re: Official thread for chicas

call it our aunt, coz its usually one of those aunts that come to ur house without any invitation and try to manipulate u and try to piss u off :p

sure u can call um that, everyone has different name for um. I just call um ma aunt,.

Re: Official thread for chicas

wowww lucky u just for 3 days, mine used to be like 4 days and now is 6 -7 days :(

Re: Official thread for chicas

musicmaniac, Have you considered getting a second opinion from another doctor? And did he check for fibroids?

Re: Official thread for chicas

Munni been too lots of doc, nope dont have fibroids. Actually once one of the docs told me i have sickle cell disease, which ended up false in the end. She took ma blood again and found out i dont have it.

Re: Official thread for chicas

Good to know.

Music, why dont you try to cut down on the caffeine and try having green tea for awhile.

Re: Official thread for chicas

munni i m addicted to caffeine, if i wont drink it how would i be able to properly study :(

according to ma doc, i need to exercise, gain weight , eat vegetables and iron.

Re: Official thread for chicas

The entire womensfolk have a common aunt. Aunt Flo. You can run but you can’t hide.

Musicmaniac try doing sit-ups before, during and after your period. A doctor had suggested this to my cousin who had pains similar to yours, and she felt much better once she started doing them. They might work for you as well. Other than that you can always take a hot water bottle to bed, heat will ease your pain.

Re: Official thread for chicas

The pain I get is terrible too! Its like someone is ripping out the lining of my uterus and I usually faint and puke. I find that 12-14 ibuprofens help  I cant help with anything but if you find a cure etc do let me know. I also think its hereditary.

Re: Official thread for chicas

Niki i m too lazy, but i guess i should try doing situps. Hmmm, the hot water bottle, man its so hot here today. Thanx maybe they will help me out

Hiccup: Thanx God someone who has pains like me, 12-14 pill :faints: Well i dont think theres any cure for it. It could be hereditary, hmmm.

Thanx all, i have seen there were a couple of pepz shy to answer in ma thread but i got gr8 advices from them on chat (i was surprised to hear some of the guys point of view on this too on chat). ANyway thanx all, ur suggestions and answers were pretty informative
