Sheesha/hookah has increasingly become a norm in the social gatherings: Sheesha bars, café, lounges etc. My question : is it ladylike to go out for a sheesha with a guy? What is (paki) boys take on this??

my cousins/family friends that are girls dont mind going at these kinda places.. i even dragged my gf on her bday to a hookah lounge..
IMAGE wise, i think its perfectly fine ladylike or not.. :-)

in many countries (as i've been told) sheesha is not considered a 'bad thing' or a bad place to go...it just to chill around...
but in general...if your pakistani---u wud kno how it is to be with a guy alone in general...at a huka place...use ur intuition ;)

no, sheesha is perfectly ok for a female. i did sheesha in front of my cousin-brothers, and they were doing it with me. my cousin goes out with her husband to wherever they do sheesha in lahore, and she's sheeshaing it with him.

I have gone w/ friends and family for sheesha. It is not considered as doing drugs or smoking :D

its lady like in my books. perfect to let off some steam and a good substitute for alcohol. check this article i posted a while back. since then a lot more hookah bars have opened up around DC and have become more popular among the ladies.

Been there.....but never done that.
Have sheesha at home.....family friends have done it......I've never touched it.
To me...it's akin to smoking.....and a true lady would never smoke in pubic.
By my standards.....very unlady-like.

^ I agree with Muzna. I would never touch that stuff in my life. I know it is perfectly harmless healthwise … but it just seems so improper. I guess I am a bit uptight.

i cant stand brown girls that smoke....it really just pisses me off....one of my many pet peeves....as for sheesha...never tried it...am tempted to try it it..hmmm....

my husband is into sheesha so i've tried it with him at home and but i dun do it at lounges tho i keep him company
for some reasons sheesha doesnt seem to be looked upon as bad as smoking.

i dont know...hookah wasn't considered very un-lady like back in the day. i mean, from the village that my mum hails from, both of em do it...i think it's high time we leave the paan and get hooked on sheesha. make a new look for our generation when we get old and gray.

i dont know...it's been ages since i've been back. but the village has been "modernized". now the men smoke a cigarette, while the women compare the designs for the new shalwar kameez they are going to sew. but i'm thinking, since it's been "modernized" and all, and if they go up to lahore or something, i'm sure they'll be doing sheesha too...if it's called sheesha.

seriously eh? but i do remember in our gaon, the old ladies used to use the hookah....it was weird...and my nani still chews beera...this green powder thingy....

Sheesha is a pretty stupid socializing activity. Try marijuana and you will know how boring sheesha really is. I think some charsi came up with this all halal chill grill for muslims.

no idea...i think its called beera..its this mehndi green colour that is in powder form and stinks...my nani puts it into the back of her mouth , and then after a while sp its it out..lol...
