This situation is where NASA comes handy … these people should be transported to the moon where they can be amongst like minded people … and freak each other insane .. !

Right , in that case ,how about finding them a new object for obsession ... its hard work .. but surely the efforts might just pay ...
Okay than on a serious note, being possessive is a state of being insecure. It makes you think that if you will loose that thing/person than life will be harder for you. It makes you dependent on that thing/person. It just shows the utmost weakness of personality and no faith in your own capabilities.
The solution lies in grooming your personality with education and self confidence. Plus the biggest helper is our religion, which teaches us to be dependable and not dependent.

Sheyn - well dudette, this is really twisted! One could start by ignoring the guy, start to distance yourself. It is not a one-shot thing, one has to slowly and easily avoid that person. Pretending to maintain a nice 'salaam dua' but being occupied with something else?

Shey, I am afraid it can not be guaranteed. If someone is a creep, he's a creep. It will take a while before you can get rid of him. If the matter is really serious, one could involve an elder or somebody who can fix the issue one way or the other - if you know what I mean.

I agree with Sheyn on this one ... coz ignore them and they come running after you ...
and if you talk to them and try to reduce contact, they will start throwing tantrums to get back the lost attention ...
i am thinking of a solution .. will report back as soon as it comes to mind ...
