The more displeasure I have of encountering women in philosophy, the more I think women are whining narcissists who do not really have anything of substance to say. First of all, there are hardly any women philosophers. Now I am sure in this day and age, there is no one holding them back from going into such a field so the only answer is that they are dumb. Second, they rarely have anything of consequence to add to the literature and debates in philsophy, and here I talk about philosophy of religion, except to cry foul. They cry and beat their chests over God being refered to as He and say that is perpetuating female subservience, and that is the end of their contribution. And example is Rosemary Reuther, who crituqed Christianity from a feminist point of view. Aside from bemoaning religious cannon’s emphasis on male Godspeak and male Christ, she cries about women being portrayed as less spiritual than men. Okay fine, I can accept that, that’s plausible because Chrisitianity does subjgate women but lady, you are too late. The world has moved on, barely anyone practices Chrisitianity in its full form anymore, get with the times and participate in some intellectual thinking instead of your constant whining about women this, women that. Stop crying about God being portrayed in statues as a wise old man. S what. Do you see people kneeling and praying down to the wise old man anymore. Do you think that instead of literature calling God a Goddess and She instead of He will actually add anything to the debates or enrich them?
Why are feminists STILL stuck in the same rut, identifying themselves as victims and crying like hysterical banshees. I mean if society sees you as so inferior, shouldn’t you prove them wrong and actually contribute to stuff that makes the world go round instead of incessant questioning and lamenting.
