Do you think her remark to “Obliterate Iran” if Iran attacks Israel…will Obliterate Hillary from the race…or is she playing to get the gun lobby votes!..![]()
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
It is an attempt by her to appeal to the jewish and conservative voters.
Also, Isreal is more than capable of making Iran into a glass parking lot with it's second and third nuclear strike capabilities.

Iran isn't a stroll in the park like Iraq was in '03.
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
Iran said obliterate Israel firstly, well what do you expect? Blame Iran for their stupidity and ignorance they have displayed against Israel. Kudos to Hillary Clinton.
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
"They said it fiiiirrst"...how childish.
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
^^^ i agree with you they are childish , but i would have called them having a monsterous mentality. At leat H . Clinton won't back down and has the instestinal and intellectual fortitude to stand up to such ignorance with bravado. Kudos to her.
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton

You make no sense. She's childish, yet has intellectual fortitude when displaying such childishness?
She's a war-mongering idiot, issuing an unsolicited threat...what is she not backing down from? American hysteria that has already caused them to wage war under false pretenses?
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
^^ it would only make sense if you thought iran childish , its only the natural course of proper thinking in this issue.
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
:).....When Friends and Family are threatened and also oppressed......people will make those kind of statements..........
The question that should be asked........who is oppressing whom?.........:(

If you're a child, yes.
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
So the aspiring leader of the Democratic Party supports killing 70 million people for the actons of their leaders?
By comparison, George Bush looks positively peace-loving.
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
^lol
Hillary's just riding the bandwagon, nothing else. USA knows it's got its claws too deep in Iraq to even withdraw, let alone "defend" it's allies should they be attacked.
It's Israel having fits about Iran's nuclear technology, which Isreal btw already possesses since a very very long time ago. :) Everyone has the right to develop Nuclear technology and use it peacefully.
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton

Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton

Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton

Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
Here we have a woman who threatens to obliterate a country...and those males who dare say peep to here are insecure? Oh wow...
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
Hillary said this ("Obliterate Iran!") in response to a rhetorical and highly hypothetical scenario where Iran launches a nuclear attack on Israel. We all realize that this is election season in the USA, so anything these politicians say (Obama had famously said that he'd bomb Pakistan) has to be taken in context, as well as with the understanding that they are all just pandering to get votes. Nothing really serious is actually gonna happen.
Having said that, when I first read this post, my initial reaction was if Iran is stupid enough to actually launch a nuclear weapon towards Israel, then Hillary pronouncing "Obliterate Iran!" probably is understandable. Then I read mad_Scientist's post (#11 above) and it made me think once more. But then, I say, that if a country's population ALLOWS its leaders to take actions of aggression that can have serious reciprocal reaction, then the population should expect to be affected as a result of a reaction. More often than not (even in dictatorships) leaders don't act in a vacuum. There is support for their actions in their populations. Everyone knows that Israel is America's pet in the middle east. Its one thing to make rhetorical statements about "wiping it off the face of the Earth", and its completely another to actually act on it. Most world leaders, however dense and idiotic they may be, realize this.
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton

You've just justified terrorist attacks on civilians...
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
i think it is extremely frightening to think that the US can wage war on yet another country, will they never learn their lesson? they have bombarded two countries in the last 6 years with no foundation and don't tell me they are going to do it again. the iranian president has been very confrontational with the US but maybe they are simply trying to assert themselves in their own sphere of influence. iran has a bad reputation for the supposed oppression of women but in actual fact they are quite a democratic society where everyone has equal rights... with the exception of some periods in history there has been next to no persecution of minorities in iran which is something if you compare that to any of their neighbours' records with human rights violations. the israeli question is such a difficult one. iran is vehemently anti-israel, the state was created by western powers at the expense of the palestinians. jews have suffered throughout history i would strongly advocate a homeland for them but it has been gone about in the wrong way and has only led to more suffering of jews and palestinians alike. sorry this post was a bit too long :)
Re: Obliterate Iran! remark made by Clinton
politics is a big scum bucket. so are politicians, and worse they are all humans - women and men with subconscious spilling through beyond the frantic speeches to lure voters, beyond the emotional blankness to hide motives, and intentions.
never ever in the history of any affluent political figure has there been the pleasant surprise of compassionate heart and a fair soul.
so, Hillary Clinton is no different.
common Iranians and Americans, be they Christian and caucasians or born Muslims, have direct impact on the way the countries approach each other.
the executives dont easily get hurt nor do they allow anything to come to them, at least for a while.
statements are made by humans, they defy their credibility.
and thus, in a way it is good that it came out, if Hillary said so.
at least we know she is pretty clear where she stands, when it comes to becoming US president, if and when she will & what her thought processs is like, just like the word she used, to handle an other country, which happens to be Islamic with Muslim population existing in there.
much to learn. much to observe...
best,
Dushwari
