Though I find your approach more humourous than others here, you seem to have found yourself a fan, because you artfully have found a way to both be unfairly dismissive of Islam at the same time as being an authority on it, complete with understanding and opinion. LOL
It's because of the very fact that I have studied it that I am dismissive of it. What is so strange about that? That's not art and it's not deceptive or spreading disease.
Please feel free to add me to your ignore list and I'll do the same since I find the "my religion is the only true religion and all others are false" and "my religion is better than your religion" kind of posts rather nauseating.
But FYI... just becuase you don't agree with (or want to face up to) my posts don't mean it's spreading disesase or not serious.
Peace Seminole
Just a side note, I do believe Islam is the best way of life, I also believe there are aspects of truth in other religions. I do not however, make the assumption that Muslims are better than any one else, that would be a statement that I cannot qualify. On the other hand I do believe that many Muslims practice false things and tie into their faith false beliefs. However, the difference between Islam and other religions is that Islam i.e. the basis from which our Islamic values are construed is pure and unfortunately other religions have scripture and concepts that have become tainted with external influences making it difficult to impossible to know right from wrong Divine from human from within their scriptures. Only with the Qur'an compared against the Vedas, Old Testament and such can Divine message be proportioned out and separated from false human interpolation. That is the reason why Islam is the way, it is the way because all true religion is essentially Islam.
It's because of the very fact that I have studied it that I am dismissive of it. What is so strange about that? That's not art and it's not deceptive or spreading disease.
Peace again
As I said - it is because you study it with CONTEMPT that it throws you off course and MAKES you dismiss it. Not my words ... The Qur'an says this about itself.
That’s backwards. The Quran-only crowd insist all 5 are in the Quran as a retort to the other extreme that suggests the Hadith are necessary to complete (and not contextualize/elaborate upon) the Quran.
Those with sense bring up the verse psyah mentioned (which is in no way ambiguous, unless one really wants the verse to fit a preconceived idea) or that a ritual like prayer would have (and arguably has) been transmitted without the aid of Hadith. Or are you suggesting that Muslims did not pray until the Hadith were fully compiled, vetted, etc? What is certain is that there are numerous Hadith that detail that the Prophet (pbuh) and his companions established regular prayers, and there is no ambiguity as to their timings. This is not intended as a circular argument, but to point out that they learned the ritual of prayer through the Prophets example. The Quran does indeed make mention the importance of establishing regular prayer. It’s insane to think this ritual would not have propagated otherwise…but to those who wish to argue for the sake of arguing, I suppose there can be no satisfaction on the matter…
I think you may have caught Seminole here, who thinks he can speak on behalf of those who are “Qur’an only” i.e. the Submission.org people. They clearly assert five prayers from the Qur’an … perhaps Seminole should try to convince them he is right? Ok that is a bad idea. JazakAllahuKhair.
But Seminole back to you my friend.
Can you again enlighten me on the fact that the quran suggests us to only pray 3 times? Listing up the names of 3 namaz without the actual link and reference will not help you in discussing on the whole subject and making your point valid.
What is your actual argument of Allah ordering us to perform three namaze only.
Hey guys, the thread is not started to get the understanding as we know what thread starter has been doing in the past..............................
Inciting contradictory questions for the sake of pure arguments. No matter what we say, this person will not get it unless God/Allah brings the light to his mind.
There are many who will approach to you for the same reason and we have to answer what we know the best, but for some people long arguments are simply useless.
(1), 3, or 5 times a day just pray, and do the good deeds in the world.
.........My S & S (short and sweet) answer!!!
Remember, ALL prayers are useless without carrying out other responsibilities in the world.
