You have to consider the fact that illegal immigrants also contribute to the economy. I don't know if they are a net plus or not, but it's not as clear cut as simply labeling them a drain on the infrastructure. However, I don't encourage illegal immigration, and do think some measures should be taken to curb it.
There is a reason why every restaurant in almost every big city is manned by illegals...
lol.. Everything in politics is a charade. Its the people who are stupid enough to keep falling for it. There is actual footage of Romeny claiming he is a "moderate," his health care plan is almost identical to Obamas, the is footage of him claiming he believes women should have a right to make their own health choices... I mean the man is a walking contradiction. He is a so disingenuous.
But thats the problem with politics. You have to lie, deceive or conceal things to get any votes, and then u-turns as soon as you get in. If Its nots about you, then your lying and slandering opponents.
Then only those with financial support from corporates are able to get anywhere, but they end up as willing slaves to do their bidding.
Its a dirty dirty profession and you would have to give up every moral bone and self respect in your body to get anywhere. The genuine folks are shut down simply by the process.
Not a system worth boasting about let alone declare war over!!
I dont believe so. Illegal immigrants dont have access to health care (heck many citizens dont have access to health care). Illegal immigrants aren't entitled to federal loans as citizens are for education. They cannot get hired for an type competitive job, so they dont compete with the general population. They cant even get a drivers license as far as I know.
The jobs they do are jobs no one else is willing to do, mostly menial jobs, with low pay and no benefits. In fact, hiring American workers may actually raise production costs, and a lot of the time the American workers arent nearly as reliable as the illegals since Americans obviously have other options, so illegals have a much lower attrition rate. And they work harder then horses. Ask any Pakistani with a business and they will tell you that illegals work harder then anyone. Given the option, most business owners, be they construction, restaurant, grocery etc will hire the illegals first.
The undue burden comes from within. The inefficiency, tax breaks, wars that need not be fought but to appease the lobbies, all these waste more money then any illegal.
And the illegal worker pays into the social security system but not entitled to receive it.
Those who hire them and make them work harder than horses are exploiting them.

I dont think they pay social security since they dont have SS numbers as illegals. Unless im missing something.
I dont support these people being exploited of course, and yes there is the potential for exploitation, thus the reason why we should bring these people into the formal economy. What I am for is legalizing their status or giving them routes to citizenship. I acknowledge ground realities here. I think its inhumane to force these people out of the country and back int the poverty they themselves risked everything to escape.
And when I say they work hard (LIKE HORSE), I dont mean to be derogatory, although choice of words might be out of place, I simply mean to emphasize that business people I have dealt with did not mean this in a manner that is malicious with intent to exploit, but rather an acknowledgement of the work ethic of these people. They are generally considered reliable and not because they are forced to be, but by nature, they are simply extremely hard working.
My intent was only to emphasize the value they bring to this economy, by emphasizing the fact that they embody the very principles of hard work which Americans value so highly and consider the cornerstone of American prosperity.
Another reason why we should never vote for republican.
Just two days after appearing on stage with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, televangelist Pat Robertson said something that seems destined to make the candidate lament his decision.
Reacting to a letter from a viewer who said he’s lost his self confidence due to his wife insulting him, Robertson said Monday: “Well, you could become a Muslim and you could beat her.” He then turned to his female co-host, who seemed to balk at the offhanded remark, and asked: “You don’t want to go to Saudi Arabia?”

Well, its not the system so much as it is the people involved in the system. The same corruption would be found in all forms of govt. For its part, secular democracy creates a platform on which we can find some degree of stability and the best chance for human progress. Still its plagued by the corruption inherent in any system that is run mortals, BUT its the best we can hope for.

Sorry Med. I did not imply you were supportive of them being exploited. I agree with you that they do work hard.
these 2 enemies of islam both may allah(swt) curse them. I hope inshallah the US economy, their military and their status in the world is destroyed even more in the next 4 years.

dude, easy with your cursing. USA has same number of Muslims living as in Lebanon, about 2.5 million. What is with this unnecessary hate for those muslims?

Corrupt people are everywhere, its the system that allows them in and lets them cover their tracks.
A system where the rich get richer and the poor get mauled, where lobbies and corporates can finance and buy politicians and media, commit crimes and then get bailed out, where police can violently suppress your right to protest, spy on you, arrest you in secret without evidence or trial, its evidently the system which is at fault here.
But is that really the best we can hope for? Because if thats the best, then we are pretty much doomed.

No system will work 100 percent. You can only do the best you can.
The last 200 years of progress however, augur well for the future.
