No he meant to blame Obama for the factory not reopening... Apparently he didnt specifically SAY Obama closed it down, just that it remained closed under his watch. So they are saying he was disingenuous but not necessarily lying outright.

I am... They are't going anywhere. So might as well bring them into the formal economy. And denying them rights given to American citizens is cruel.
They arent a drain on the system. Considering how much money is wasted on useless Wars, on Tax breaks, among others things, I dont think showing some compassion towards people coming out of poverty and looking for nothing but work, is going to cost a lot.

Republicans basically want the survival of the fittest both economically an even socially. If it were up to them, they would have let the car companies sink, as be the will of the gods of capitalism.

Aren't they a drain on the schools and the healthcare system. The infrastructure clearly wasn't designed to handle such massive influx of immigrants. The purpose of restricting immigration is to prevent undue burden on the countries infrastructure and illegal immigration just renders that purpose moot.

You have to consider the fact that illegal immigrants also contribute to the economy. I don't know if they are a net plus or not, but it's not as clear cut as simply labeling them a drain on the infrastructure. However, I don't encourage illegal immigration, and do think some measures should be taken to curb it.

One little known fact about illegal immigrants is they pay into the social security system but do not receive any Soc security benefits.
On the other hansd, the senior citizens ( a big voting block for throw Right) are receiving more money than they paid into system. For the average 70 yr old, any additional amount they receive exceeds the amount they have paid into system. That is welfare noons wants to address.

As far as test though - it is not stupidity alone that's a problem it is the outright lying by the right coupled with the ditto heads believing everything thrown at them. Some are willfully ignorant.

That's why the test should be relatively easy. If you're someone who chooses to be ignorant then you shouldn't have a voice. Or Americans can fix their press. Fox News wanted to air some of their more popular national shows in Canada and were rejected because there are laws that prohibit lying if you claim to be a news show. I am astounded that America does not have anything like that.

Ohio Republicans were polled on who they thought was more responsible for the takeoyt of Bin Laden. 15% said Romney 45 said not sure. So 60% either not sure or gave credit to Romney.
In N. Carolinax numbers were similar.

There is actual footage of Romeny claiming he is a “moderate,” his health care plan is almost identical to Obamas, the is footage of him claiming he believes women should have a right to make their own health choices… I mean the man is a walking contradiction. He is a so disingenuous.
In the words of the late Christopher Hitchens, he is “..so full of Sh1t, that if you gave him an enema upon his death, you could bury the remains in a matchbox.”

I dont believe so. Illegal immigrants dont have access to health care (heck many citizens dont have access to health care). Illegal immigrants aren't entitled to federal loans as citizens are for education. They cannot get hired for an type competitive job, so they dont compete with the general population. They cant even get a drivers license as far as I know.
The jobs they do are jobs no one else is willing to do, mostly menial jobs, with low pay and no benefits. In fact, hiring American workers may actually raise production costs, and a lot of the time the American workers arent nearly as reliable as the illegals since Americans obviously have other options, so illegals have a much lower attrition rate. And they work harder then horses. Ask any Pakistani with a business and they will tell you that illegals work harder then anyone. Given the option, most business owners, be they construction, restaurant, grocery etc will hire the illegals first.
The undue burden comes from within. The inefficiency, tax breaks, wars that need not be fought but to appease the lobbies, all these waste more money then any illegal.
