Bro, millions of dollars from companies like Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Google, JPMorgan, CitiGroup, Lehman, Time Warner, Morgan Stanley and God knows how many other corporations he has accepted cash from..!
is he their crony no.
but what i know from what i read most of his funds came from individuals.
obama will support israel outwardly but what is questionable or what remains to be seen is his conduct with the islamic world.
if the current scenerio doesnt end with iran and pakistan neutralised then that israel thing is shrinking if not outright moving on to pastures new in the future
did any one read the statement of Hamid karzai to new US president.. .. this man is so biased and charged up against Pakistan. a real idiot and puppet
====================
Karzai said: “My first demand from the US president, when he takes office, would be to end civilian casualties in Afghanistan and take the war to places where there are terrorist nests and training centres.”
University of California $909,283
Goldman Sachs $874,207
Harvard University $717,230
Microsoft Corp $714,108
Google Inc $701,099
no influence? of course they have influence bro, these corporations are not stupid.
Sorry to burst the bubble, but thats how these expensive election campaigns work. THEY HAVE to do this. For instance, what does Google or Microsoft get out of this? They support OBama because of his reforms. Microsoft wants more tech workers abroad, hence relaxed immigration reforms for skilled workers, so they support the guy who gives it to them. I dont know what the problem here is. This isnt Pakistan were waderaz can use their money, or use the nation's money to campaign. Individuals in the US cannot donate more than around 2500 usd as per rules.

There are some fundamental problems in Pakistan. These problems need to be address otherwise Pakistan will never be able to progress and improve it’s image, economy..etc.
We have been dancing on the tune of west…puppet government. When are we going to realize that we need to take care of our own problems. We can’t keep on begging for Money from other. We need to industrialize our country. We just can’t depend on Agri sector. our imports are higher then our export, we are losing money by import good that we know we can produce at home.
Can we compare ourselves to the countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Iran?
*We need to remove the feudalism from Pakistan.
*Land and political reform should be the 1st priority.
*Political reform (4 Party system)
*Foreign policies (Good relationship with China, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Iran, Russia, CAS states, Ukraine, Belarus, Eastern European countries, EU, USA, UK, Australia, South African and African countries)
*create 15 provinces (Merge FATA into pakistan)
(Multan, Mansura (Norht of Hydrabad Sindh), Turan (south of Quetta), Qusdar (South East of Quetta), Markan, Mashkey (now Lesbala district)
*Create new Industrial zones.
*Development of Coastal Areas, Blochistan, Interior Sindh (Larkana, Nawabshah), and North western provinces.
i don't know what the mood is where y'all are, but we're just positively giddy at work today!!! everyone is SO THRILLED and relieved and its a day that just feels like change. it feels positive and good and happy, and it doesn't matter that we're Canadians and we didn't vote - it feels like a win for us too :)
it really was a global election this time 'round.
how many of you teared up listening to his speech last night?

I feel exactly the same SGC. It definitely feels positive and good. :)
Oh and I was very impressed by McCain's speech as well. Very 'gracious' as CNN called it!

It may be more to do with the thought that Bush is going :D
Bush is like the kiss of death! Whoever he gets cosy with becomes unpopular, be it Blair or Musharraf. Mccain's biggest mistake was to goto the white house and have a photo session with Bush, despite being very bitter with him back in 2000.
You are, of course, familiar with the fact that Obama essentially flouted the $2,300/person limit by turning a blind eye to the sources of his internet donations. It’s pretty much been established that the happily accepted untraceable (and likely illegal) donations sent under fraudulent names.
I sincerely hope that you people didn’t vote for him because the grandfather he barely knew happened to be Muslim.
I could care less about what he secretly believes. At this point, his actual actions are all that matter. And his recent actions (whether it’s supporting billions in military aid to Israel, or firing off a letter to the US ambassador to the UN demanding that the Security Council keep their silence on the Israeli blockade of Gaza) show that he will be no friend of the Palestinians.
I’m sure Obama will be more than happy to oblige…he’s repeatedly been calling for military strikes against Pakistan since at least 2004.
Also, a muslim is one that believes in Islam and takes the shahada etc. Having a muslim parent does not make you a muslim, even if its both your parents. Barak has repeatedly siad he's a Christian, he has distanced himself from muslims so unless he converts to islam now, it's not really not wise for muslims to expect him to do something special for him. Now he coudl always convert while he is the white house and no one can kick him out so imiagine that, Barak has had exposure to Islam, and you never know who God decides to send guidence to and when.
