So why does everyone else interefere in the Karachi MQM issues? Why dont outsiders who dont live in Karachi stop refraining from discussing issues related to it?
^ Indeed. Hopefully this will be done soon. Most importantly, this should be done to prove a point to everyone outside of NWFP who makes decisions on what to impose upon the people there.

Punjab and Sindh are HISTORICAL names and GEOGRAPHICAL - the people got the name oafter the region. The names come from the water that gave life to the land.
Majority does not mean everything is ok. The only fair solution is giving non-Pashtuns the chance to opt out and from a new province - lets give some real power to the people
As far as its resolution is passed from the provincial assembly its all good.
IF punjabis can live in PUNJAB (knowing there r so many kashmiries, muhajirs, afghan refugees and sarayiki speaking Niazis live there)
IF sindhis can live in SINDh (knowing there r so many biharis and muhajirs and even punjabis live there. there r more than a million pathans in karachi alone)
IF balochs can live in BALOCHISTAN (knowing there r so many tribes that dont liked to be called balochs, afghan lives near the whole chaman belt, and even arabic speaking ppl also live in gawadar in the area that was bought from the government of Oman.)
Then y cant pashtoons name their province PUKHTOONKHA'N knowing that there r minorities living in their province???
let a democratical process take place, if majority wants that, give em.

The NWFP provincial assembly can decide whether Pakhtunkhawa is reflective of everyone in Sarhad or not.
one pathan is equal to 5 balochis, 10 punjabies and 100 sindhis....so 100 million punjabies come to pakhtunkhwa, we will then also keep the name of pakhtunkhwa.
And one pakistani is equal to 10 indians.

why people prefer NWFP??? its not a name. anyway I am punjabi and if NWFP want a different name, they should have it anything they want it to be called. Pakhtoonkhuwa - well people say what about hazara/hindko people living there. whats wrong with hazara people living in pukhtoonkhwa? many seraiki people **live in Punjab **and they want to be called seraiki people instead of Punjabi, many pakhtoons live in sindh, many pushtoons live in Blochistan. If I decide to live in Sindh one day, it will not make me ethinically sindhi, but a Punjabi living in Sindh.
leave them alone with any name they want it, anything thing will be better than NWFP a province cant be named to please everyone. something like this "Pakhtoon Hazara ..Province"

Again, the province should be renamed Pakhtunkhwa, this process should be done either democratically or through a referendum,. Either way, the name should be changed to Pakhtunkhwa. Hindkowans are welcome to vote/take part in the democratic process.

Seraikis dont want to evict punjabis or anyone else they just want a province created out of seraiki-speaking districts in south-west punjab.

central and northern parts of pakistani punjab are not seraiki.
There is no province named after Liaquat Ali Khan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Mohammad Iqbal (Poet Philosopher of Pakistan), Chaudhury Mohammad Ali (former prime minister, played a key role in the organization of the new government in 1947), Urdu poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz. Shouldn't we recognize these people and name a province or atleast a city after them instead of nameing a province after Benazir, who was corrupted leader.
My suggestion for province.
1) jinnahpur
2) Liaquatpur or Liaquatabad
3) Iqbalistan
4) faizpure, Faizabad
5) Umanistan, Usmanabad, Osmanabad (Name after 3rd kalifa)
6) Qasimabad (named after Muhammad bin Qasim)
or remove the name of provinces and have centeral goverment should just have districs. District Nazim should handle of the activities of the District, no more Punjab, Sindh, NWFP and Baluchistan. No more fata, Paksitan government should create 4 districts and add them into union.
the word Pakistan is abbrevation of P: punjab A: afghania K: kashmir S: sindh Tan: balochistan
N.W.F.P is always refered as afghania not pakhtunkwa in history, Afghans in settled ares of N.W.F.P have actually came from present day afghanistan because they were pushed here by stronger tribes there. The original people of N.W.F.P were hinkis who r related to punjabis. Because afghans were fierce warriors therefore they easily defeated these people and colonized this area. many hinkis were pushed beyond indus river, others remain here, some completely assimilating into pashtuns while other retain their identitiy successfully like in kohat ,peshawar or other areas. thats why people of N.W.F.P are darker as compared to afghani pashtuns bcos they are not pure as it is assumed. unlike eastren d.i.khan hazara is closely related to pashtuns but it is strange that unlike seraikis they r very anti-pakhtuns. even hinko speaking pathan tribes of swatis, tanolis,jadoons, tarins etc r against renaming of province.

This is not about race or color, this is about educating the masses. We also need educated punjabi sindhi sariki people to move to these area. Each town and each villiage need basic things like schools, police, healthcare, trasportation service.
Bigger town and cities need to put more emphasis on developing better education system (schools & colleges, library), madāris (should be modeled after South African islamic education system), internet services, Health care system (clinics and hospitals), Law & order, Police, Transportation, Railway, bus service, taxi, agriculture, turism.
We should learn from Islamilies (AgaKhan), how they have converted thousands of Aghani into Islmailies and settle them in Karachi close to super highway.
