It seems to me that the state of affairs in Pak has gone dramatically downhill since the ousting of Mr Musharraf. I know most didnt like him, but it seems like he held things together a bit better than the current govt yeah?
I dont see how Israel comes into all this, I mean with the hotel bombing in Islamabad, the UN declared Pakistan as unsafe and unstable as Mogadishu. Thats a sad thing. And that type of incident has nothing to do with Israel, it has everything to do with Taliban and fanatical radical Islaamists doesnt it? If the good people of Pakistan would address the actual problem of these radicals in their country instead of letting them run rampant while blaming it all on Israel and USA, it would go far in regaining stability, prosperity and respect.
Some are speculating that the USA will begin to go in there to take care of the extremists since Pak is doing little or nothing about it. I hope and pray that this does not happen but I see it as almost inevitable.
There was an article yesterday in the NY times about the horrors going on in the North, crimes against humanity practiced by the Taliban on fellow Muslims. The two sons (aged 5 and 8) of a government official were murdered in front of him because he could not choose which one for them to kill. And thats just one story of many coming out of the Northern areas. We have a family friend from Swat who cries when he talks about whats going on there. Anyway, these reports are definitely not tales made up by evil Israeli loving media.

Ehtasab, It seems to me that although things in Pak were not good 2001-2008, things have rapidly deteriorated since Mush is gone. That is not the case? IDK, i would have travelled to Pak any time in the past but I'd not go there with my young ones now. My relatives in Islamabad say that everyone there is very concerned now, they never know whats going to blow up when. This was never previously the case.
