Just saw NZ’s speech. Not many specifics, but he did promise rail/road links to China. He came across as very mature politician & promised to work with all political parties.

rail link with chaina would be awesome, if delivered. as far as i remember 2 years ago i went all the way up to chaina border on KKH and it was in verrryyyyy poor condition, existing road link needs to be made usable before starting rail link.
i'm expecting another official policy hand-out/road map or speech about what they are going to do about energy crisis

His speech overall was good and mature. One thing missing from the speech was the Iran/Pak pipeline project. Hopefully it will not be abandoned.

Need to look at the contract again. I have read in several places that the agreement signed with Iran was done in a hurry and the pipeline along the lines of that agreement might not be financially feasible (specially provisions relating to the pricing).

Congrats to Nawaz Sharif for getting elected third time. What a come back, it was not easy or quick.
Congrats to Pakistan for a peaceful and democratic transition of power.
Its a victory of people and institutions.
Hopefully we can start our peace process where we left off with him.

Miftah Ismael yesterday or day before said, this Pipeline in its current agreement will add to circular debt, possibly a signal to abandon it or alter the contract. they should not abandon it

Respect is won through strength of Character , and once lost is hard to regain. Sorry, I havnt gali galoched Sharif or other chors in a lose language , but I will never respect them

MNS & Amin Fahim literally put me to sleep with their speeches. Achakzai Javed Hashmi & sheikh Rashed livened things up. Wil be good to have Imran Khan in assembly soon. Should be interesting times.

The promised $15 billions Saudi soft loan is not w/o string & one of those string is for Pakistan to abandon IPI & NS ought Saudis a lot including his life. So, I don't see IPI going anywhere.

PMLN had termed it as a rumor last week, and said there is no such loan offer, they said this news might have been spread by stock market people for short term gain which this news can bring to the market.
not sure though how much one can trust their "statements" when they can easily retract them saying "josh-e-khitabat"

Yeah, but Khadem-e-Aala Al-Saudi wal Amrica will definitely delay or cancel the pipeline outright.
